Coffee and Chocolate - Downtown
327 Union Ave, Knoxville, TN
Crema's Take
“Tucked into downtown Knoxville, this espresso-focused café draws a devoted crowd with creative signature drinks like their beloved spicy mocha and inventive seasonal lattes that justify the splurge. The inviting space—filled with the aroma of freshly roasted coffee and a gorgeous display of pastries and chocolates—makes it equally perfect for a quick caffeine fix or lingering over a cappuccino, especially when the farmer's market brings extra energy to the neighborhood.”

Our go-to coffee shop when we’re downtown. A great spot to sit inside or outside, and gets very busy during the farmer’s market days. My favorite is the spicy mocha.
Place was so cute, easy to walk to, baristas were very kind! I grabbed a snickerdoodle latte $7+ after a tip, it was a little pricey but tasted great! Parking was hard to find, I parked up the road and walked a few blocks. Worth checking out!
For me, this was like walking into a little slice of bean heaven. You can smell their coffee for blocks. And the first thing you see when you walk in is the BEAUTIFUL display of sweet treats. You could get lost for a long while, just LOOKING at the yummies in the window. Eating one of their fancy little truffles makes one feel like royalty, and the taste is simply divine. The macaroons were simply to die for. Each macraroon was a party in our mouth. We ordered a london fog tea, and a fancy coffee. Now. Listen. If they dont make the coffee right, it ruins the experience. I'm a coffee SNOB. But these ladies executed the PERFECT cup of coffee, with the perfect milk and sweetness measurements. The ambiance is great - if you can catch it at a quiet time. This shop is usually always bustling, which is a great testimony to how great they are!!!
The little café is best to do on the go. Be prepared it can be pricey. Clean, nice decor, and friendly staff but very little place to sit. Lots of chocolate and macaroons to chose from, variety of coffee from hot to iced.
For our choice of caffeine, we went with… Iced Marshmallow Latte - sweet and toasty Vanilla Cappuccino - perfectly balanced, not too bitter, not too sweet. For a sweet treat, we tried 3 different macarons, all delicate and full of flavor, and an almond biscotti which was perfectly crunchy. The vibe here is warm and intimate. Service was friendly and quick, and everything tasted fresh and carefully made. Definitely one of Knoxville’s must-visit spots if you love a little sweetness with your caffeine fix.
