Crema's Take

This beloved donut shop makes a devoted following willing to drive 50 miles out of their way, earning raves for their exceptional cake donuts with perfectly crispy-glazed exteriors and pillowy-soft centers, particularly their signature Vortex. The Cottonwood location offers a more spacious, quieter escape than its Sedona sister shop, making it ideal for both quick coffee runs and lingering afternoons with a laptop, though arriving early is essential since their popular pastries tend to sell out by mid-morning.

Yes, their donuts are good BUT today is the third time I've visited Sedonuts and they had no donuts. At 10:15AM????? They've been in business long enough that they should know very well how many donuts to stock. I've never been to Dunkin Donuts and they had no donuts. I would recommend you go there instead of Sedonuts.

I’m not sure why I was expecting a bit more. They were out of most donuts including the signature Vortex when we got there (10am) on Thanksgiving Saturday. But they were not busy at all? Strange. What we got was ok. At least parking was ok which was a big worry. Hard to rate but probably I wouldn’t return. This is one of our few misses on the trip. Maybe just an off day for them. The people were amazing. The donuts? We had blueberry and lemon. Like I said, I hope it was an off day. To those that review these are the best donuts ever? I need to introduce you to hot Krispy Kreme’s from North Carolina. Or Britt’s from Carolina Beach.

This is THE BEST donut shop I’ve ever eaten at! And believe me, I eat a LOT of donuts! I make it a point to stop here anytime I’m within 50 miles of Cottonwood. They also have a shop in Sedona, which is their main store. The donuts are huge, absolutely delicious, and they have a tantalizing variety (unless they sell out!). The coffee is locally roasted and full bodied. If you are a donut lover, you can’t pass up Sedonuts- they are miles above the rest ❤️

Being a baker many moons ago you can tell a lot about a donut shop by tasting there glazed donut. Lucky for me and my husband we got the last one of the day at 10 am!! Sold out nearly! And man that glazed donut was amazing, my husband got his favorites (Oreo red velvet and fruity pebbles) and I went with a couple classics (glazed, lemon filled and maple old fashioned) the top one was definitely the glazed. The red velvet was second and as a shock we both agreed the lemon filled get third place (my husband doesn’t like lemon). Oh yeah! We also got a shirt in a cute little can I can’t wait to open it! Stop by on your way in or way out of Cottonwood!

FANTASTIC cake-like doughnuts. Perfectly made, delightful crunch from the icing and soft, fresh interior! Highly recommend! This location is quieter and has more space than the Sedona location. Thoroughly enjoyed sampling a few with a cup of coffee! We tried the Maple Bacon, Powder, Red Velvet with Chocolate icing and Lemon Blueberry. ALL WERE DELICIOUS!!
