The food here is very delicious! I really enjoyed the Awaze Tibs! The meat felt like high quality, and it was incredibly flavorful. The collard greens were also so good. I am not the best with spice but everything I tried was just so good. It is served the traditional way- no utensils. It was first time eating with the injera, and it was very yummy! If you have a hang up, don’t let that stop you from enjoying really great food. I would definitely recommend this place!
Best ethnic food experience ever! I enjoyed the entire meal and left nothing to waste. The atmosphere is nice and the staff is even more pleasant. I especially loved the coffee and the sharing of traditions and customs with the customers. I wish I could eat here weekly. The collard greens were phenomenal along with all the other flavors on my plate. I am so pleased to have had the pleasure of trying Gursha Eats and I can’t wait to return. I’m so happy with my meal that I decided to leave this review before even leaving the establishment and that says a lot cause I never leave reviews.
My daughter and I have been patiently waiting to try Gursha Eats, and were excited to hear they had opened their doors in their new location. We felt welcomed upon entering, and the customer service was perfect throughout our meal. We decided on the large platter that consisted of a variety of their dishes (6, if I remember correctly). Everything was hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious! It was a fun experience eating all of the different foods with our hands and the included injera. We will definitely be back!
update: it seemed like forever but it was only 2 months. glad they reopened at their new location this week. the food and service was as excellent as its always been. and their new space is fantastic! its welcoming and peaceful. just an amazing experience. cant wait to keep coming back. finally. after dozens of drives to portland for ethiopian food we now have a fantastic spot right here in salem oregon. it is as great if not even better than those. and thats after only being open for a week. every bite of every dish was wonderfully filled with flavor. super kind and friendly folks running the place. please please give them a visit to help make them a successful and long term salem favorite.
Wife and I were looking to try something new for date night and heard about this Ethiopian reastaurant startup. It shares space with another restaurant but there was plenty of space and no waiting for a table. The host was gracious and welcoming and the restaurant smelled wonderful. We had the Awdamet Gursha plate with a lot of different items and plenty of Injera (sourdough flatbread) for scooping up the food and it was delicious. We also had the beef Sambusas with a REALLY good lightly-spicy green dipping sauce. We'll be back, for sure.
