Morning Glory Coffee
100 School St, Carlisle, IA
Crema's Take
“This beloved Carlisle spot runs on genuine warmth, with brother owners who clearly pour their hearts into both the coffee and the community they've built around it. Beyond reliably excellent traditional and specialty drinks, Morning Glory shines for its house-made pastries—reviewers rave about treats like the raspberry almond bar enough to consider making a second trip—making it the kind of place where you linger over a chai latte and soak in the friendly, family-oriented atmosphere.”

Morning Glory is one of my favorite places to get coffee in the Des Moines area. Great service, great price, and great community involvement as well!
I normally don't drink coffee but when I do I choose Morning Glory. The people are friendly and if you get there just at the right time you can see the love between the brothers when they have to work together.
My first visit to this coffee shop was disappointing. I was unaware that the shop was nearing closing time, but the server — who I later learned is the suspected owner — handled the situation with visible frustration and rudeness. Despite leaving a generous tip, the level of service remained unprofessional. I enjoy supporting small businesses, but excellent customer service is important, and regrettably, this experience has led me to decide not to return
Stopped by after my overnight shift and got a chai latte and a raspberry almond bar. Both were very good! The pastry was so good, I considered turning around to buy two more!! Cute mini pumpkins on the table and a nice conversation while my drink was being made. Will definitely be making this a regular stop on my way home from overnights.
Nice clean facility with easy access and delicious coffee and lattes!
