Paris Cafe
142 McAllister St, San Francisco, CA
Crema's Take
“This San Francisco hidden gem offers a refreshingly spacious interior that feels almost luxurious for an urban café, making it the perfect refuge when other downtown spots are overrun. The standout here is their genuinely impressive pastry selection and baked goods paired with solid coffee craftsmanship—locals rave about both the foam on their lattes and thoughtful options like vegan hot chocolate and vegetarian fare. It's the kind of place that rewards discovery: quiet enough for a peaceful morning or focused work, welcoming enough for friends and families to linger, and consistently good enough to bring people back again and again.”

I decided to treat myself after attending an event downtown and the other coffee shops were filled with other attendees and police officers. I saw this place had a good review and the pictures looked cute. The cafe is immaculate and well designed. The atmosphere is quiet and calming. A nice little Oasis amongst the hustle of downtown. I got a soy mocha to go and it is absolutely delicious! Next time I'm down here I will definitely try this place again.
They have quite a few options for vegetarians. We were before 8 am and we had the entire cafe to ourself for a few minutes. There was just one person at managing the order and preparing everything at that time. No GF options available.
The Paris Cafe offers very nice selection of pastries and baked goods. It also has a large interior for an urban Cafe, especially compared to the area. My daughter enjoyed her baked treat very much. Stop in if you are in this neighborhood.
Great coffee, good foam on my latte and vegan hot chocolate for the kids. Large and clean dining area.
I love this place, it's such a hidden gem! My friends and I came here for a snack on Saturday and back again for breakfast on Sunday, and will happily come back again. The pastries are delightful and so well made; we had croissants, pain au chocolate, mini beignets, and when we came back for breakfast we had the egg, cheese, and ham croissant as well as the turkey bagel sandwich. The croissant sandwich was freshly made, with real scrambled eggs! The bagel sandwich was well balanced in its flavors, Rika could taste the onion in the bagel along with everything else and loved that. The owners make the food and drinks themselves just before serving, so everything is fresh and delicious. The orange juice was clearly freshly squeezed; the coffees were delicious (I got the seasonal pumpkin spice latte; my friends got iced white mochas). The interior is neat and clean and all the tables are well-spaced. Also!! The owner was so kind on Sunday when I came in; I was having a flare-up and needed to use my cane, so I only had one spare hand. When he called out that my order was ready and I came up to take the tray, he told me that he would carry the tray back to my table for me. It was really kind of him, and he didn't have to do it. This place definitely should have more people coming through!! Y'all should come eat some delicious food and drink delicious beverages and listen to some lovely music and enjoy a chat!
