Crema's Take

This Asian-style bakery cafe in Chamblee is beloved for its extensive selection of inventive pastries and baked goods, from pillowy pork floss bread to matcha and red bean buns that keep locals coming back. While the quality can be inconsistent, the warm staff, inviting decor, and dual appeal as both a quick grab-and-go spot and a comfortable place to linger over specialty drinks like boba tea make it a genuine neighborhood favorite. It's the kind of place where you're as likely to settle in with wifi and a matcha tea as you are to pop in for a beloved Portuguese treat you've been craving all week.

Stopped in to try some of their food and pastries and everything was delightful. The bakery has so many options to choose from and it was so fun to try the unique and delicious treats. The Portuguese egg tart, the strawberry cake roll and the creme brulee were fantastic. Definitely try them out!

I regularly purchase pork floss bread with mayonnaise from this shop and have always enjoyed it for its soft texture and generous, creamy filling. However, my most recent purchase was disappointing. The bread was hard and dry, and the mayonnaise filling was barely noticeable. This was very different from the quality I’ve experienced in the past. I’m not sure if there has been a change in the recipe or preparation. I hope the owner can look into this location, as I truly enjoy this product when it’s made well. I plan to try it again next week and hope to see an improvement.

I’ve been to Sweet Hut before, but my experience today was completely unacceptable. I bought a matcha bun and a red bean bun, and to my absolute shock, both were 100% hollow. There was zero filling in either one. These aren't exactly cheap, and to be sold what is essentially just a ball of air is insulting. We actually had to walk back inside and show the staff the hollowed-out bread because we couldn't believe it. While they did offer to let us pick something else (get another item other than what I came for because all of them weren't filled), the disappointment had already ruined the visit. When you go to a bakery known for its flavors, you expect the actual ingredients to be inside. I won’t be coming back anytime soon. 1 star.

The decor was very nice. The staff were friendly and kind. The pork bun and the boba tea were okay. They pastries were good. I think the Marietta location had more variety of pastries and food options in comparison with this location.

Great place to pick up dim pastries and even enjoy some coffee. This is an Asian style bakery that offers a wide range of pastries both sweet and savory. Description of the individually wrapped item is good. Most pastries are heavier and less sweet than the US counterparts. Service and atmosphere are great. I was surprised this is one of several Sweet Hut bakeries in the area. Well worth a trip to experiance a delicious bakery trees.
