Long Black Coffee, Costa Mesa
320 Bristol St Suite A, Costa Mesa, CA
Crema's Take
“Tucked away in a gas station plaza with a deceptively charming interior, this espresso-focused spot punches above its weight with high-quality matcha and thoughtfully crafted cold brews at prices that won't break the bank. Their matcha is notably never watered down, and regulars rave about both the flavor precision and the genuinely warm, welcoming staff who make the space feel like a second home for studying or celebrating special moments. It's the kind of hidden gem where the experience—friendly service paired with quality drinks—matters just as much as the coffee itself.”

High quality machta and coffee spot! Will come again because of their prices! 6.50$ for a mango cold brew. Flavor wise it is very good. Most machta spots water down their drinks, this place does not cut corners! Very quick service.
Great cafe to study at. Outlets are only close to a few seats. Banana matcha was great, the cream on top was a tiny bit too sweet for my taste but I loved the quality of the matcha. Staff are really friendly and generous about explaining the menu to you. It has maybe 5-6 small round tables (one of which is close to an outlet) and one big table that seats 6 (one seat is outlet accessible) and two cushion seats (one of which is close to an outlet).
Amazing coffee and service. It’s tucked away in a gas station plaza and it almost looks closed from the outside, but it’s a reverse catfish bc the inside is cute and the coffee speaks for itself. I ordered an iced Einspanner which is a latte with less milk (still 2 shots of espresso) with house made hazelnut cream. Drinks like this are usually wayyy too sweet for me but this one was perfect. They even drizzle some espresso on the cream top, great touch. My mom got a decaf latte and usually decaf drinks are super weak but this one was great. A lot of people work out of here too. Not huge but still has 6 tables and a large communal table. Come try before it gets super busy bc this place will for sure blow up!!
The name is a bit silly but the coffee is decent and the prices are good. Better prices than most of the local spots. Not a lot of frills for food but they seem to have some drink specials if that interests you. We just got a hot and and iced latte and they were good. The roast is a bit on the bitter side of the spectrum. Signage is just papers signs on the windows currently. Seems like they soft opened in early November 2025. The spot is right by the gas pumps.
I brought my mother here for her birthday, and our experience was absolutely delightful! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by warm, friendly employees who made us feel so welcome. The staff went above and beyond to make my mom’s day special they even surprised her with a complimentary pastry for her birthday, which was such a thoughtful touch. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, the coffee was amazing and the customer service was truly outstanding. It’s rare to find a place that combines great drinks with genuine kindness, and this café nailed it. We’ll definitely be back again soon!
