Crema's Take

Sip Java has mastered the art of smooth, beautifully balanced espresso that never veers into bitter territory, earning it a devoted following among coffee travelers who've sampled shops everywhere. The space itself is a draw—cozy couches and table nooks throughout create the kind of inviting atmosphere where you actually want to linger, and the crew behind the counter takes real time with each customer. Their signature creative drinks like the Electric Shock are worth exploring, and while the pastries shine, this is genuinely a place where the coffee is the star.

Sip Java makes Starbucks feel ordinary. Starbucks is good—but Sip Java is something special. The coffee here is beautifully balanced: smooth as silk, never over-roasted, never bitter, just rich and perfectly crafted. The atmosphere is just as wonderful. The ladies behind the counter are always warm, welcoming, and genuinely happy, which gives the whole place an easy, joyful energy. It’s the kind of spot where you can linger with your coffee, relax, and feel like you’ve found a little pocket of Fort Lauderdale that still has soul. Sip Java is one of those rare, old-school gems that gives a neighborhood its character. I sincerely hope it never disappears. ☕✨

I am always trying new coffee shops because I am frequently traveling. Sip Java definitely has the best tasting coffee and espresso. Very smooth and not bitter. Try the Electric Shock- you won’t be disappointed. They also have a small kitchen with fresh food. The bacon, egg and cheese on a croissant is excellent- and made fresh. Not packaged. Also, the owner is there every day either working the register or serving food. Great place!

Seeing the line out the door, I assumed I was about to discover the breakfast spot everyone was raving about. Instead, I was treated to an undercooked egg, a slice of Kraft cheese that couldn’t even be bothered to melt, and a croissant so soggy it gave up before I even picked it up. Hard to believe this is what people are waiting in line for — truly an unforgettable experience, just not for the right reasons.

I loved the concept, ambiance, coffee, and service, but didn't enjoy the food. - Coffee: plenty of options with affordable prices and great taste. I tried the brew of the day of the day, and it was good ($2) - Atmosphere and service: they have seats in and out. In they have good deco and plenty of seating and out you are facing a shopping plaza. Everything is self-service. You pay and then pick up. - Food: I ordered an avocado toast (I believe it was called Mediterranean with feta and olives) and added 2 scramble eggs. I was very surprised when i saw the "scramble eggs" as they looked like plastic! you can see in the pic. I asked, and they confirmed they were scramble eggs but agreed to change for Sunnyside up since the taste and the way they look were terrible! Will come back only for coffee.
