Crema's Take

Tucked into the mountainside at Loveland ski resort, Ptarmigan Roost is a cozy mountain lodge where you can ski or snowboard directly to the door for a warming cup of hot chocolate or coffee with views that rival the slopes themselves. The intimate indoor space, anchored by a wood-burning fireplace, pairs perfectly with their surprisingly affordable green chili and simple but satisfying menu, making it an ideal spot to recharge between runs or settle in with friends without the resort price tag shock.

Your on the side of a mountain. You ski or board to it.... how great is that!

Fantastic Green Chili at a very reasonable price! Got a beer and chilli for the price of a 3 chicken tender basket at a big name ski resort! Will be coming back for sure. Amazing views as well. Right off of the ptarmigan chairlift

An awesome location and an amazing view! The indoor seating area was limited, yet warm and cozy. The counter staff were very friendly. We'll be back!

The view from here is spectacular! They have a wood burning fireplace to warm up. And you can order hot coco or warm cider. You can also order food but the selection is limited. Restrooms are in adjacent building and both buildings are kept warm. Great place to relax, decompress, and warm from a break skiing on the slopes. During peak periods it gets crowded and they stop serving hot food at 2:30pm. At 3:00pm they stop serving drinks and selling snacks. At 3:30pm they lock the doors.

Nice, small, mountain lodge that offers limited seating and a big deck with great views. Menu is, as expected, limited : soups, chips, canned drinks. Great place to warm up and rebuild your energy for the afternoon.
