Portico Coffee
2503 Roosevelt Ave, Fort Worth, TX
Crema's Take
“Tucked inside a beautifully preserved 1913 historical home, Portico Coffee offers an unhurried escape where the owner personally crafts thoughtfully flavored drinks like honey cinnamon lattes and dark chocolate mochas, each one backed by genuine conversation about the coffee itself. The vintage-touched interior and serene atmosphere make it equally suited for a quick espresso or a lingering meeting with friends, all while you're surrounded by the character and warmth that comes from a place that clearly cares about both its coffee and the people drinking it.”

Okay, so this place is a quaint little spot nestled in a historical home called The Koldin House Estate, built-in 1913. It's a definite must-stop. Grab a coffee to go or sit, have a casual conversation, or just take a breather from life's stressors and enjoy one of the best cinnamon rolls you will ever taste and a great cup of coffee with homemade syrups. Definitely a hidden gem.
Such a nice place! The owner was absolutely wonderful and everything was delicious. I got the honey cinnamon latte and my husband got the dark chocolate mocha, both were great and I’m a pretty picky coffee drinker. We also got the coffee cake and a fig shortbread pastry. Again, both were so yummy! The atmosphere was very relaxed and charming. Definitely worth a stop in!
How I missed this gem when I was Google maps searching coffee places, I will never know. The owner waited on me and explained the concept behind the flavorings he has created. I told him I'm generally (buy for whole milk/oatmilk) not into syrups etc. He assured me it was meant to complement not cover the flavors. So, he added his herb and chocolate flavor blend and it was as he said, a great complement to my cappuccino. The atmosphere is so quaint in an old house and I'm sure the outdoor seating will be gorgeous when the spring hits.
The place is so cute and welcoming. The vibe is relaxed and serene. The drinks were delicious! We met a friend here to talk about some projects we want to work on during the first time we visited and we really enjoyed it. They told us they host events and support a lot of the Fort Worth community. They have a garden outside and lots of seating to enjoy the garden. We live a little far but we will be coming back for sure.
This café has definitely become one of my favorites. I just went with my wife and it’s incredible — the location is great, it has accessible parking, and the interior is beautiful with a vintage touch. Now, let’s talk about the coffee — ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. I highly recommend coming here and enjoying a great cup of coffee with your eyes closed.
