Flat Iron Cafe
561 State St, Rochester, NY
Crema's Take
“Flat Iron Cafe is a surprisingly charming escape that doubles as an actual salsa dancing venue, complete with a small dance floor and Latin music that sets it apart from typical coffee shops in Rochester. The owner is genuinely welcoming, the cafe food punches above its weight for the price, and the service consistently exceeds expectations—making it feel less like a coffee stop and more like a local secret worth seeking out, despite its modest size and out-of-the-way location.”
What to expect
Classic coffee drinks done right. A slow-sit spot, good for meetings. Light food on the menu.

Beautiful place with great service. Owner was a pleasure to spend time with.
Google said it was open. It's definitely close on a Friday night.

Cafe food... so good. Visited on Sat I believe. The service here is better than most. The bill won't shock you. Menu is like a cafe in Indianapolis I loved.
