Crema's Take

Flat Iron Cafe is a surprisingly charming escape that doubles as an actual salsa dancing venue, complete with a small dance floor and Latin music that sets it apart from typical coffee shops in Rochester. The owner is genuinely welcoming, the cafe food punches above its weight for the price, and the service consistently exceeds expectations—making it feel less like a coffee stop and more like a local secret worth seeking out, despite its modest size and out-of-the-way location.

What to expect

Classic coffee drinks done right. A slow-sit spot, good for meetings. Light food on the menu.

Google said it was open. It's definitely close on a Friday night.

Renovations left this place very small. It's nice and clean. The music is great. Great place to learn Salsa dancing.

Cafe food... so good. Visited on Sat I believe. The service here is better than most. The bill won't shock you. Menu is like a cafe in Indianapolis I loved.
