Crema's Take
“This vibrant Lower Pacific Heights gem puts serious thought into every plate, from beet lattes that surprise to avocado toast with perfectly poached eggs and jalapeños that actually shine. The eclectic breakfast and light food menu feels intentional rather than trendy, paired with a chill, inviting atmosphere that draws a loyal crowd to both the main floor and upstairs seating. While you might need to cozy up during busy hours, the quality of both coffee and food makes it worth nestling in with your laptop or settling in for a leisurely meal.”

The beet latte was unique and tasty- the coconut black rice breakfast bowl with fruit kept me full most of the day. Each of the dishes is ecclectic and we'll thought ought. Seating can be tight.
ordered avocado mash toast.... avocado great, scrambled egg can be less cooked and creamier.... The jalapenos 👌
If you’re around lower Pacific Heights and want quality and yummy food and food coffee, you need to check out Jane on Filmore. The overall vibe is chill and inviting with seating upstairs, main floor and outside. I dined in and had their sausage, egg and cheese biscuit. I’m a huge fan of biscuits and this did not disappoint.
Was very curious to try as I see this place filled with people all the time. I ordered an avocado mash toast to go. The plating looked amazing and the egg poach was far better than I expected. I cannot give five stars because the toast was bit blend. I think they tried to add some kick taste with jalapenos but I found it too spicy and not harmonious to blend taste of avocado. The bread itself was thick but had no seasoning. Maybe if it had some additional spread or butter, then it would be better.
A lovely and vibrant cafe with great vibes, friendly staff, and tasty treats! I’ve been making my rounds to all the Jane’s in the area, and the location on Fillmore might be my favorite — the team is cheerful and efficient, and the space is beautiful and always bustling. It can sometimes be a little tough to find a spot to sit with how popular the cafe is, but they have a good amount of seating and turnover is pretty quick, especially at their smaller high-tops next to the counter. It’s not the ideal place to work — they don’t have wifi and it can get pretty loud — but it’s perfect for a casual brunch / lunch or to hang out with friends. The coffee is solid and a smidge nutty, and I’m obsessed with all their pastries. They have a relatively small pastry selection compared to Jane the Bakery, but they have most of the favorites, including a solid spread of vegan and gluten-free options. I haven’t tried any of their normal food, but it looks delicious.
