Handles Coffee
4459 Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles, CA
Crema's Take
“Handles is an architectural gem in East Hollywood with a striking pie-wedge design and multi-level space that makes every visit feel special, but the real draw is their espresso-focused menu and creative signature drinks like the Camel Latte that balances chocolate and orange notes perfectly. Their cold brew is exceptionally smooth, the pastries (especially their chocolate chip ovals) are legitimately excellent, and despite occasional crowds, the team moves with impressive speed and genuine friendliness. It's the kind of place where you can either grab something quick or settle in for a longer sit, with solid street parking nearby.”

Super chill spot, can get busy but they work quickly and drinks come out pretty fast. Cold brew is super smooth and I like the Silverlake latte for a sweeter option. Cups are bit small but decent size for mid day pick me up. Pastries are also quite nice :)
I think Handles is the best coffee, hands down, in Los Angeles. Their pastries are amazing too. I recommend trying the little oval shaped one with chocolate chips in it.
Wasn't expecting such good coffee in East Hollywood/Sunset! And very cool venue - unusual pie-wedge shape, 2-stories, interesting geometric interior designs. Fast and friendly service. Street parking. Definitely return.
Recently my wife has been having me try coffees from different shops, so we visited Camel. The atmosphere inside really surprised me. Its very interesting and welcoming... Will I be back? Highly doubt it. For first timers, we were recommended the the first two options: 1. Camel Coffee and 2. Camel Latte. The Camel Coffee saved the day for me because the Camel Latte, was not it. If you don't like the taste of orange jam or the way orange zest taste like, do not order Camel Latte. The Camel Coffee on the other hand, the foam top was pretty good, but that's it.
Totally understand the hype of this spot, literally a gem! Tried their camel latte and I am not disappointed at all. It had a strong taste of chocolate and orange so it tasted like orange dipped in chocolate which is absolutely delicious! I love chocolate orange! My whole taste bud was so happy!!! Would need to come back to try their camel coffee which also sounded amazing!!!
