Crema's Take

Coffee MCO is a beloved study haven deeply woven into the USC community, offering a rare combination of excellent espresso-focused drinks (their signature Cohen Latte is a standout) and genuinely thoughtful space design with abundant outlets, reliable wifi, and plenty of parking. The two-story layout with both indoor and outdoor seating creates an inviting atmosphere for everything from serious studying to casual meetings, backed up by a full breakfast menu and friendly staff who understand what students and remote workers actually need.

This coffee shop is in a great location, and one of the first things I noticed was how convenient it is there’s plenty of parking available, which is always a big plus. The interior is really beautiful and thoughtfully designed, with a cozy and modern vibe. There’s lots of seating, so it never feels cramped, and I loved that they also have a second floor. On top of that, the outdoor patio area is spacious and perfect for relaxing on a nice day. The only small downside was that they didn’t have a decaf option, which I was hoping for. However, the staff was very friendly and helpful. one of the female employees recommended a different drink instead. I ended up ordering an iced matcha latte, and it was actually really delicious. Overall, a great spot with a nice atmosphere, plenty of space, and excellent service. I’d definitely come back again.

Coffee MCO is deeply rooted in USC cafe studying tradition, so it was fitting that I finally got around to trying it. It’s super close and very accessible by the 204 bus. I got the Cohen Latte half sweet, which was perfectly sweet the floral syrup to shine through without tasting purely of sugar. The included oat milk rounded it out as a creamy drink. However, the $8 price point is pretty diabolical even for the 16oz size. There are also very few seats indoors (and the few that are available are very quickly taken), but there are some shaded outdoor tables, just without outlets.

I absolutely love Coffee MCO. They have plenty of seats with good ambiance for studying or just to relax. Their staff are always so friendly. Food is so delicious I’ve had the breakfast sandwich, breakfast burrito, avocado toast, breakfast potatoes and others. Coffee and drinks are yummy! Would highly highly recommended coffee MCO!

- free parking (medium lot) - indoor and outdoor seating - 2 stories - lots of outlets - RELIABLE wifi! - lots of 2 seater tables, lack of group tables (although there are some) - delicious drinks (although a bitttt overpriced) - plays music really loudly (which i enjoyed, they also have a fire Playlist imo) overall, would DEF come back! 5/5 stars

This is one of the rare combos of good seating + good coffee right in DTLA/koreatown area. Good drink options— Cohen is unique and not too sweet. My only con— I wish the service had been a little warmer/friendlier. I was also dissuaded from getting the food bc of the price, but that’s just LA I guess. Lots of parking and seating, both outside and inside. Fun upstairs view overlooks the street and the bar below. Good spot to study or people watch. Just be aware the music is pretty loud. It’s a good time though if you’re up for it (or have noise cancelling headphones if you’re not up for it).
