Crema's Take

KNEAD is a charming neighborhood spot in East Providence where thoughtfully crafted donuts take center stage, with a real commitment to texture and quality ingredients that extends even to their vegan options. The welcoming atmosphere and genuinely kind staff make it worth the trek, whether you're settling in for a slow morning with a specialty coffee or grabbing something quick, though arriving early is key to catching their full rotating selection before the best items sell out.

I’m a big fan of donuts and this place did not disappoint. We walked around 30 minutes from downtown to get there so we were hoping it would be worth it. We shared the donut with chocolate and caramel (forgot its name) and passionfruit coconut doughnut. The first one was good but the dough texture is more of a cake rather than a fluffy doughnut texture. The second was by far better. It had such a unique taste that I’ve never had before. If you like fruits, the passionfruit coconut is a must try.

First off - I’m not a donut foodie and think the donuts are damn delicious. I really appreciate that they make an effort on texture and even the vegan options are soooo good. They’re never dry and while the jelly ones are a little overpowering, still delicious. Coffee is great too. BUT the real reason for this review: Kyle the new supervisor. He is just wonderful. He was so friendly and sweet that he genuinely made our day better. Our past few times we haven’t enjoyed as much due to the staff being rude, but pretty sure he reset the tone. The other staff working also seemed really content and friendly. Fantastic place all around now that’s it has the Kyle kindness 😎😊

Knead to try harder…mediocre donuts at epicurean prices. Purchased two donuts, an expired milk and a water for $15. Donuts were day olds…despite being there an hour after opening. Good flavor (blueberry lemon and strawberry shortcake) but super dry to the point we didn’t finish. They were nice an about the expired milk and then checked the whole case, but were nonverbal during the purchase. Clearly not morning people.

Super cute on the inside, great customer service- the employees were so kind and helpful. They did not have crounuts? when I went (on a weekday) but I did try their jelly donut and coffee cake donut. The raspberry jelly was good but it took many bites to get to the jelly, because it was so sweet and rich, it was overwhelming at the end and I couldn’t finish it. On the other hand, the coffee cake donut was delicious- award winning. Everything was super fresh and tasted delicious.

This is a really cute doughnut shop with a nice variety of fresh high quality donuts. We came on a Saturday morning and it wasn’t too busy and they had a great selection of donuts and pastries to choose from. The service was great too. We got a brown butter pecan donut and a mocha old fashioned donut. The brown butter pecan donut was one of the best donuts I’ve ever had. It was so big and fluffy and had so many little pecan pieces coating it. The mocha old fashioned was good too but the texture wasn’t quite as good and I didn’t taste much coffee flavor. This is a great a great spot with delicious donuts! We’ll be back for sure and will recommend it to friends!
