Crema's Take

This neighborhood gem in Salt Lake City has built genuine loyalty through speedy service and a warm, personable crew who consistently deliver quality coffee at fair prices. Their Frozen Joe is a standout—a generous large size for about five bucks that regulars keep coming back for—and while their drive-thru ordering system could use some streamlining, the friendly baristas more than make up for it with their efficiency and care. It's the kind of place where you become a regular not just for the coffee, but because you actually enjoy seeing the people behind the counter.

Well, if you're going to have a policy of not accepting reusable cups unless they are pristine, rather than just rinse it out you just lost my business for every Java Joe's

They are so nice there! It’s right by my apartment so I can walk over and get a coffee in the morning. Super friendly, good coffee and easy to get to :)

It was really good coffee, only issue is that they don't take orders until you are at the window so it doesn't allow a good flow, it takes a bit long, wish they would add a voice box or something so you can order while you wait

Fantastic Frozen Joe. Only about 5 bucks for the largest size. Much better than popular franchises. The young ladies remind me of my daughter. They get the coffee done faster than fast and are very courteous. Thank you so much, that frozen Joe helped me keep my job.

I’m really sad to be making this review but I felt compelled to share this story. I go to Java Jos every single day and most days I end up going twice. Often times when I stop for a coffee, I will ask for a water cup or two to fill up my water bottle because our home faucets are not safe to drink from. This has never been a problem but this particular day, Chelsea wrote a fairly condescending comment on my water cup that I was really sad to find when I got home. I go to Java Jos 7 days a week and always tip. Emily, the manager, who is always so lovely, apologized for Chelsea’s poor behavior the next day and expressed that she asked Chelsea not to do that and she still did. Frankly, Chelsea’s behavior was hurtful and I could’ve simply explained to her why I get water cups if she just asked me. I have been coming to Java Jo’s almost every single day for the last year and a half. The gals there have been nothing but lovely until this experience, including Chelsea. I am saddened that this experience happened and has made it difficult for me to enjoy the Java Jo’s experience. I will be reconsidering coffee shops to visit with my family moving forward.
