I love this place, but I don't think I'm coming back after trying to attend the Tarot Speakeasy on 1/17. I bought a ticket in advance, I was very excited to sign up for a reading from one of the multiple readers featured for the evening, I was excited to try a deck from table in the round, I was excited to get a table with my friends and just enjoy the environment. I arrived just before 7 right after I had finished up work. They had clearly oversold the event. The store was packed with a line outside the door. I saw several disappointed people leave while shaking their heads after getting to the front of the line, saying there was nothing left to do. When I finally got to the host, she confirmed my prepaid ticket, and then told me it was standing room only at this point and none of the multiple people brought to the event specifically to read tarot were available for the remainder of the evening (event wasn't even close to half over). All of the round table tarot decks were in use and not a single table was open. Another couple that had been standing told me they'd been there about twenty five minutes and were still waiting for service for drinks. So I opted to leave like the others since none of the reasons I paid to go to the event were accessible and it seemed I had paid $9 just to stand in a store I could stand in for free any other day of the week. I asked if I could have a refund and the hostess said no. Escalated to manager and manager also said no. I LOVE THIS STORE and I think I just have to take a break for awhile, I was really looking forward to this event and it was just not well executed or accessible. Disappointing experience, wish I had just stayed home instead of fighting through the snow flurry to get there.

Oak has an amazing variety of plants and other beautiful & unique gifts! Staff is friendly and can help find a plant that matches your lifestyle. They also now have a cafe inside with tasty drinks. Definitely worth stopping by when visiting downtown.

So many cute plants and great witchy items. I've gotten extremely useful books, bulk herb ingredients, loads of stickers, and even a favorite purse. Staff is always kind and helpful, atmosphere is super peaceful, and now you can grab a drink from Cafe Thistle in the store and relax for a bit!

First time coming here and thoroughly enjoyed my time here. Plants are displayed well and all seemed healthy. Plenty of options of plants and pottery. Would recommend to come back again for future plants.
