Crema's Take

The banh mi here will make you forget you came for coffee, with tender lemongrass chicken and fresh bread that justifies the trip alone. Fueling Station has mastered the rare combination of genuinely excellent food, strong coffee, and staff that actually makes you feel welcome in a city where hospitality often feels transactional. Hit it on a Friday for their legendary focaccia bread, grab a seat outside, and settle in for one of SF's most underrated breakfast spots.

What to expect

Classic coffee drinks done right. A slow-sit, laptop-friendly, outdoor seating spot, good for meetings. Full breakfast, pastries, and light food on the menu. Family friendly.

We came for breakfast but we saw the bahn-mi and couldn’t stop ourselves. It was so delicious! Fresh bread and such a great and tender lemon grass chicken with great vegetables and seasoning, we are so happy we chose it. Would definitely recommend this one 🙌🏼❤️

Tried this cafe because it’s nearby our hotel in SF. The food was good but the portion was quite small and for the price, I think it’s quite pricey. The seatings inside were nice. Their restroom was a bit clogged. There was water all over the floor and I hope they fix it soon…

Hands down the most welcoming cafe I’ve discovered in SF so far. All the staff are super nice, especially Lulu! Great menu items at a very good price. The Focaccia bread on Fridays is phenomenal! Definitely worth stopping by if you’re near the Polk street area.
