Dakava House Downtown
224 N 29th St, Billings, MT
Crema's Take
“This downtown Billings spot offers a refreshing alternative to the typical coffee shop scene, specializing in kratom tea and kava drinks that keep regulars coming back for both the welcoming vibe and the community atmosphere that feels genuinely chill. Whether you're settling in with your laptop for work, meeting friends for conversation, or catching the karaoke nights, you'll find a space where people actually want to linger—the kind of place that stays open late and embraces folks looking for connection without the bar scene energy. The kratom tea is a standout for many, sweetly balanced and affordable, with customers praising both the quality of drinks and the friendly, unhurried pace that makes it perfect for actually being present with people.”

a group of us went to downtown kava like we’ve done many times before and have stayed past 10 with no issues, but last night the kava tender told us we had to leave because they were “closing” early. we respected what we were told and left at 10, and someone immediately came behind us to lock the door and turn the open sign off, but when we came back around like 20 minutes later the kava tender was still there with a full bar of their friends hanging out. kicking out paying customers just to stay open for personal hangouts is unprofessional and dishonest, and if you’re going to make people leave at least be truthful about the reason.
Came in for the first time after seeing there's a location downtown, my kratom tea was sweet but not overwhelming, pretty affordable if you're by yourself or with someone else
This is a great alternative to coffee shops for work or bars for hanging out. I really love the atmosphere and people are very friendly. I like the Downtown location the most, but each location in town has its own uniqueness. Love that they are open late so I can either work or do homework! If you don't know what Kava/Kratom is, just ask. I like Kratom White Teas with Sugar Free Syrup, but I also love the canned drinks (Kava and Kratom) :) You can bring your own food in. Dog and kid friendly as well!
Kratom tea has helped me so much with staying sober and with pain when I had an injury recently. The people here are so chill, and the vibe is unmatched.
Karaoke can't be beat. An atmosphere that's not ruined by drunkards. It's my new favorite places especially after 5 when most things start closing that aren't bars. I'm becoming a regular and I plan to keep it that way. This place brings community together
