Kava & Company - San Marco

I’ve been coming to kava for 2 years now. It is literally my ‘perk house’ It’s not just a kava bar, it’s my second home. A home is only as good as its family, and my favorite member is definitely Abby (opps sorry for picking favs 🤭) She’s not only a talented kavatender, but she’s literally THAT girl! She’s cheery and bubble even on hard day, the literally definition of service with my smile. My days, and drinks, are better with her in them 🥰🤭💖

I have visited this Kava bar several (~5x) times and have always had a great experience. The staff is very friendly and works hard to ensure no one waits too long, though it is often very busy. Em and Wheaton stood out to me as exemplary employees always doing their best to make me feel welcomed and appreciated. These two employees have done an extraordinary job with the drinks I have requested and even a flat bread pepperoni pizza. The drinks are high quality and the food is prepared with care and cleanliness. Highly recommend this place. It is often very crowded as the quality at this establishment is very high. Great outdoor seating for those that smoke cigarettes or just want to bask in the sun and a generally calm, collected crowd of Kava/kratom consumers. Parking is a bit sketchy but that goes for all of downtown Jacksonville. Em and Wheaton, thank you so much for being such great kava tenders, your hard work is not unnoticed! Recommend 25% raise for each, effective immediately.

We had a wonderful first experience at Kava - a perfect place to close out an evening of Birthday celebrations! Scarlett and Xander were wonderful - knowledgeable and patient answering all of our rookie menu questions and providing incredible insights and recommendations and serving up even more delightful mocktails. We loved our experience here and will definitely be back soon!

I came to this kava bar for the drinks… and accidentally stayed because of Em. From the moment she greeted me, I knew my life had changed. Was it the warm smile? The elite kava knowledge? The way she somehow remembers everyone’s order like a mystical beverage wizard? Hard to say, but I fear I am no longer the same person. Em crafted my drink with the care of someone bottling pure joy. One sip in and I was relaxed, hydrated, and frankly questioning every life choice that didn’t previously lead me to this bar. If customer service were an Olympic sport, Em would have multiple gold medals and a humble but powerful fan club (hi, it’s me). The vibes here are immaculate, the drinks are fantastic, and Em is, scientifically speaking, an absolute star. If you come here and don’t leave happier, more relaxed, and slightly emotionally attached to your kavatender… I simply don’t believe you. 10/10. Would cross oceans, deserts, and mild inconveniences to be served by Em again.

I happened to be visiting Jax for a medical procedure and the hotel was right next to Kava and Company so I gave it a try. What an interesting and action-packed bar I stumbled into! There is truly something for everyone at Kava & Co including: pool tables, ping pong tables, karaoke, a lively bustling sitting area and a quieter more mellow chill area to hang. The decor is phenomenal with many various classic albums and CDs artfully displayed on the walls and rafters. There is a CBD and delta8/9 selection as well. The crowd was welcoming and fun and within minutes I felt like a regular there. My drinks - which included both kava and kratom were on point and they even had some tasty food options. Lastly, I've been to many kava bars in Florida, but nothing prepared me for the splendor of Kava and Co. It is undoubtedly, the biggest and best you'll find in the state. Go check it out and remember, I told ya so!
