Cortado Coffee, Garden Grove

A cozy coffee shop with modern minimalistic interior design and ample seating for those wanting to enjoy their coffee in house. There is upbeat music being lightly played in the background. The staff is nice and fast with their service. This is a busy establishment, but they keep up with the demand. I ordered the hot Einspänner latte, which has house-made hazelnut cream. It is rich, creamy and not too sweet.

an ace of a place! I've been trying to perfect the Strawberry matcha latte (see my failure) but they have it absolutely nailed! The bitter was low-key and perfect for a really fresh flavor, clearly they are using fresh ingredients. Perfect bold strawberry, not too thick, not too thin, just right. Paired very well with my weakness for butter cookies! Which was also exceptional. I'm looking forward to visiting here quite a bit, the staff was very kind and welcoming, and will likely try the Einspanner, which a friend recommended. Difficult choice, there were several others that I would also like to try. The pastry I had was exactly what i was in the mood for but tasted so buttery and fluffy, it was wonderful.

This place has minimalistic decor that’s bright and simple. They have very unique drink flavors and they offer cold brew, matcha and Einspänner, which I don’t see so often. It’s a Viennese drink that I drank every day when I was in Vienna and Europe where the top layer is a really thick whipped sweetened cream. But nowadays, it translate to any drink topped with this thick sweetened cream on any type of drink not just espresso. I got strawberry matcha latte for myself and picked up ice pistachio latte, biscoff cookie butter latte and strawberry lemonade for the family. The strawberry matcha latte has been the best matcha I’ve had by far. It’s nutty not grassy or bitter so you know it’s not low grade, yet it’s bold and strong. The strawberry purée was perfect. It wasn’t thick like jam or thin like syrup. It still had the pulp and when you mix it, it didn’t change the matcha taste. I will need to come back to try their coffee.

This small coffee shop, tucked away in a modest strip mall, clearly has a strong reputation—evident from the steady wait line and the lively crowd inside. I enjoyed their signature Iced Pistachio Latte Cream, a rich and flavorful treat, while others in our group opted for the popular Einspänner. It's a cozy spot with drinks worth the wait.
