Crema's Take

Lpcx Café feels like a hidden retreat tucked away in Tampa, where an unassuming exterior gives way to a charming back porch that transports you somewhere entirely different. Their espresso-focused drinks showcase real skill—think beautiful latte art and creamy microfoam—while their Colombian-inspired menu of fresh arepas, bowls, and salads pairs perfectly with weekend brunch and excellent mimosas. It's the kind of place where attentive service and genuine warmth make you want to linger over coffee and conversation, especially when you snag a seat on that inviting patio.

This place was like stepping into another world. A very beautiful experience that felt like going on a retreat. The food was incredible, and the coffee was actually well made with good foam art and craftsmanship. There's chickens and birds and art everywhere. One of my favorite places in town already.

We stopped by LPCX Café for weekend brunch, and it was packed! Luckily, we managed to get a table outside, which turned out to be very cute and full of charm. The patio had a nice vibe, and walking through the inside to get there gave us a good sense of the café’s character. I went with three of my girlfriends, and we started with some appetizers before our meals came out—but unfortunately, the wait for food was quite long. When it finally arrived, the food was just okay and not quite what I expected. My salad wasn’t very fresh and was a bit heavy on the sauce. The service was also disappointing—likely because it was so busy. We had to flag down our server several times for missing items or to fix something with the order. Overall, it’s a cute spot if you’re looking to grab a few drinks or watch a game, but I probably wouldn’t come back for a meal.

This visit totally blew my mind- such an unassuming establishment from outside, and even when you first walk in. But then you go and see the back porch and try the food, and are whisked away to some tropical wonderland. If you like birds, you will fall in love with the porch area. They have a giant enclosure for these super cute parakeets, a bunch of different kinds. They just hang out as some background entertainment, along with the resident chickens. We got some lattes and breakfast as we went in the morning, and loved everything we tried. But especially the arepas were *chefs kiss*. If you get coffee, try the Spanish Latte. Perfect blend of strong coffee, smooth and a little bit of sweetness. They have some bigger tv screens inside and outside too so I think you could come to watch sports games when they are on. Really, the best of both worlds!

This is a great little café off of Armenia Avenue in Tampa. They serve a lot of Colombian food, including fresh salads, arepas and bowls. The food was very good and I love their Matcha lattes. I did ask to substitute the steak for chicken and the rice in the dish for quinoa and was charged a two dollar up charge which I didn’t balk at, but I was surprised and didn’t see that it was necessary as steak is more expensive than chicken. And I feel like these days quinoa should be interchangeable with rice since they offered it in so many of their other dishes. The dish I ordered had chicharrones, which is pork rinds. I didn’t care for them but the rest of the meal was delicious. The outdoor patio is beautiful with live roosters and chickens running around and the beautiful sound of birds. It’s a very nice little oasis right in the heart of Tampa. The healthy options and smiling faces always make it a fun spot.
