Dash Cafe
5 Henshaw St, Brighton, MA
Crema's Take
“Dash Cafe is a hidden gem in Brighton where the kitchen takes real pride in crafting inventive breakfast and lunch sandwiches—think Korean fried chicken and artistic Mexican tortas—that punch well above their price point. The casual, cozy atmosphere invites you to linger by the window with a genuinely fresh cold brew, though note that there's no Wi-Fi, so this is a place to be present rather than plugged in. It's the kind of unpretentious neighborhood spot that locals are only just discovering, where the food quality and welcoming vibe make it worth the visit.”

Food was so good, I got the Asian Fried Chicken sandwich and devoured it. I came here planning to work and found they don’t offer guest Wi-Fi, which is the only downside.
Dash has the most creative breakfast sandwiches in the Allston/Brighton area and they’re affordable for what they are! I was very impressed with their cold brew which actually tasted fresh. I feel like so often cold brew has a sour taste to it. I got the breakfast torta and it was delicious.
I haven't heard of anyone talk about this cafe but their reviews were good so I'd been meaning to visit for a while. Ordered a Southwestern salad with chicken which is a risky choice for me because I'm not much of a salad person but I wanted something light and healthy. I was actually VERY impressed by the salad! It was a generous portion that fully satisfied me, all of the ingredients were incredibly fresh, and it was flavorful (chicken was seasoned and juicy, perfect amount of dressing, flavors complimented each other). I'm actually looking forward to the next time I visit and try something else from their huge menu.
I'm glad I got to finally try Dash. It was delicious. Just take a close look at this Mexican Torta sandwich. It's a work of art...and it tasted like one, too. The atmosphere was very casual, they were playing a cool mix of songs, and there was a steady flow of customers during lunchtime. I highly recommend this little gem of a sandwich shop.
My first time dining here was a pleasant experience. I came for a late breakfast and sat at a seat by the window. The environment felt very cozy and welcoming. There are LOTS of options on their menu, I ordered the Lox of Love on an everything bagel and a hot chai latte. I really enjoyed my sandwich and didn't feel that it was overpriced at all. I'll definitely be back 🙂
