Coffee Connexion

Crema's Take
“Coffee Connexion feels like that rare local gem that regulars fiercely protect—a calm refuge in Tahoe City where the espresso is taken seriously and the baristas, particularly Mishel, make you feel genuinely welcomed from the moment you walk in. The vibe strikes that perfect balance between a focused coffee bar for the espresso enthusiasts and a comfortable gathering spot where you can linger over breakfast without feeling rushed. Despite flying under the radar compared to other Tahoe spots, this place delivers consistently excellent coffee and a warmth that keeps people coming back as their favorite stop in town.”

I LOVE COFFEE CONNEXION. Out of all the coffee spots in Tahoe (and I went everywhere) this one was the best, no idea why it’s got lower stars than some of the janky coffee spots I went to. This spot was authentic, it is run by locals which is obviously important, and it has the best coffee and breakfasts. It has self pour coffee bean bags on the wall which is so freaking cute and fun too, with tons of organic options. It’s such a cool place with a super cute retro style, and best of all you can go for a walk on the lake from it. Best spot for your breakfast! Employees are amazing and super sweet, they were quick to help me when I couldn’t figure out how to pour the coffee beans. Don’t miss out on this spot!
We LOVE coffee connection. This is our favorite coffee spot when we spend our time in Tahoe. The vibe is always great, coffee is delicious, and the baristas always deliver! Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for the best coffee in Tahoe City, they’re dog friendly, and the amazing staff is the cherry on top :)
Is an amazing place to start your day. Mishel, the girl who works there, is incredibly kind and friendly, and she always makes you feel welcome. Without a doubt, this is the best breakfast in North Lake. Highly recommended!
Coffee Connexion has become one of my go-to stops whenever I’m in Tahoe City. There’s something about walking in, grabbing a coffee, and instantly feeling like you’ve found a little pocket of calm. The space is cozy and unpretentious, with that classic Tahoe charm that makes you want to slow down and stay awhile instead of rushing back out the door. I’ve tried several drinks here and the coffee is consistently solid — smooth, flavorful, and made with care. Pairing it with one of their bagels or breakfast items is the perfect start to the day before heading to the lake or a hike. What really keeps me coming back, though, is the vibe and the people. The staff are friendly and down-to-earth, and it feels like a true local spot rather than a touristy coffee stop. This is the kind of place you remember after you leave Tahoe — warm, welcoming, and exactly what a great mountain coffee shop should be.
Before leaving Tahoe, decided to get coffee close to where we were. We could not find it since there wasn't a sign somewhere saying where it was, and we had gone to Safeway first. Once we found it and entered, we thought it was a nice little shop, but we were not greeted, and all we got was, "What would you like to order?" It was around 11am, so it was not early for the staff to have attitude. Once we got our drinks, the staff did not bother to say have a great day or anything. There was only two girls working. I got the coconut latte, and it was good 5/5. My son got a smoothie, and one of the girls gave it to him overflowing, where it got all over the cup, and she did not bother saying anything. The coffee is good, but they need to work on their staff manners and how they serve their customers.
