Bequest Coffee
2200 E Madison St, Seattle, WA
Crema's Take
“Bequest is a spacious, thoughtfully designed Seattle cafe with a genuinely relaxed atmosphere that welcomes both solo workers and groups without pretension. Their seasonal matcha drinks are notably distinctive, and paired with solid coffee, pastries, and a full breakfast menu, it's the kind of place where you can comfortably spend an afternoon without feeling rushed. The honeycomb details and natural light create a homey vibe that regulars keep coming back for, especially when they want good company or uninterrupted focus time.”

The coffee is one of the best they I already drink, service is really good, and the place is very chill.
My partner and I ordered two paninis and two iced mochas with oat milk and it ended up being just under $50 before tip. The coffee was not good, and neither of our (very lightly toasted) paninis had tomatoes, which were listed as one of the ingredients on the menu. They were also quite skimpy with the ingredients, so my Medina panini had hardly any pesto and just a few slices of turkey. This was quite disappointing after seeing so many great reviews on Google and other social media, especially given the price point.
Spacious and homey cafe to get some work done! I go here a lot in the afternoon since it’s not that busy and I can always find a seat. Their autumn matcha is so good and the taste is really unique (although the matcha flavor could be stronger). I’ve also had a mocha here and it was good, but I would have liked it a bit hotter since it came out warm and cooled down really quickly.
We drove over for breakfast. Easy street parking nearby. Gorgeous vibe, starting with the honeycomb door and moving inside to high ceilings and cool floor tiles! I got the Fancy Toast with an egg and it was delicious! Smooth rich latte. My husband loved his açai bowl. Five stars for sure!
Great, down to earth, vibes. Super friendly service. There are plenty of tables inside and I get the impression it would be a great place to both set up a laptop to work, or have a conversation with a date or a friend. I’m really sensitive to noise level, and don’t love it a cafe it too quiet or too loud, but this one is just right! The peppermint mocha was really delicious.
