“Uncommon Grounds trades on its cafeteria-style convenience for office workers in the building, but the 3.3 rating reflects real problems: staff inconsistency (denying bathroom access, suddenly charging for condiments), overpriced and mediocre food (dry fried plantains, bland pastries), and a general sense that you're paying premium prices for average quality. Unless you're stuck in the building and need a quick sit-down spot, there are better coffee shops within walking distance in DC.”
