Crema's Take
“Kopelani is a beloved Kona institution tucked at the end of a oceanfront strip where you can sip expertly-pulled espresso drinks and creative affogatos while people-watching from the lanai—their salted caramel affogato with smooth local espresso and cold Kona ice cream is the kind of thing that keeps visitors returning every night of their stay. The team here treats coffee and ice cream with equal passion, whether you're indulging in a decadent Kona Coffee Frappuccino with two shots of local espresso and a scoop of Kona ice cream or discovering their fresh mango passion fruit creation, all paired with excellent pastries in a warm, family-friendly atmosphere.”

Awesome lattes and doughnuts. The sign up front is missing right now, it is the last shop in the building next to Na Hoku. Strip of ocean view with the tables out front.
Hot summer weather with a cup of Kona Coffee Frappuccino made with two shots of kona espresso and a big scoop of Kona ice cream (plus drizzle of chocolate sauce and whipped on the top)... Shut up and take my money please! Wife approved! She said.. It is way better than Starbucks espresso Frappuccino!
Fresh ice cream. Mango passion fruit was good. Salted caramel affogato was better! Smooth espresso with the cold ice cream sitting outside people watching was perfect.
I found this place waking down the street and have been here every night of the rest of my visit in Kona. This place is an absolute must. I've been getting my dessert fix here the past two nights with the kona coffee based ice cream. I've tried Kealakua Crunch, Kona Road, and Mud Pie.. all of them are delicious. My favorite is the Kona Road! I can't wait to go today to try the Kona Joy and toasted coconut. There's definitely way too many delicious flavors that you'll have to come more than once! So prepare for that. The cashier was also extremely nice and personable. I went right before closing on Monday 9pm and it was quiet, but Tuesday night astound 8pm it was pretty busy. There was not a seat at the tables outside open and a line of at least 5.
Excellent people working here, we were treated to multiple samples and had a great selection to choose from. The espresso here is marvelous. And the lanai is a comfortable space to sit and enjoy your coffee and ice cream. Don't miss this spot!
