Crema's Take

I appreciate you sharing this information, but I'm noticing the reviews appear to be for Compass Cove (a hotel/resort property) rather than Compass Joe (a coffee shop). The review content discusses hotel rooms, beds, and breakfast buffets, which doesn't align with a specialty coffee shop. Could you double-check the shop name or provide reviews that are actually about Compass Joe in Myrtle Beach? Once I have the correct information, I'd be happy to write that warm, specific summary for you!

Loved our stay here! We stayed on the bottom floor and only complaint is that it gets noisy. We got woke up a lot. My advice would be sleep on the sofa bed. Had everything we needed Diane McDonald and John Rafael were so helpful!!! And nice!!!

The beds were as hard as a rock. I usually take memory phone, but I thought a couple nights wouldn't be bad and they should be nice. With that whole room was not nice. The owner does not take care of it.The t v didn't even have recoup on it.So I couldn't watch any tv until a man came about eleven o'clock and we were able to watch a few channels.I wished I did have some pictures to show you.Oh, yeah, I have one of the bathtub that was nasty.

I have stayed at compass Cove over a dozen times and I have to say this time was very good. The renovations that they have made to the rooms have very much made this property one of my favorite’s again. Just an FYI, the renovated rooms have “deluxe” in the name. The only thing that I will say took away from our trip, was the food at the Crows Nest and Breakfast and The Compass Rose. The cheesesteak that we got from the crows nest… you could indeed taste that the meat was rancid, and that they tried to over-season it to hide the fact that the meat was old bc it was salty. I called back down to the restaurant, but they were closed. I was a bit disappointed at the breakfast because before the trip I raved to my husband about how good the breakfast was in the past, but this time it was just not it. The waffle maker is gone as well. Biscuits and gravy tasted ultra processed. The staff at the Compass Rose were absolutely amazing. They were very nice. One lady even comforted my daughter, as she cried and offered her a piece of chocolate, which we greatly appreciated. Now that they have the rooms almost fully renovated I do indeed feel like it’s time for a pool and amenity refresh. I would definitely recommend this place for families with kids. The Front desk could also benefit from Apple Pay. ALSO: we were very impressed with how warm the pool water was consistently across each different indoor pool. That was a plus as well!

Room was very spacious, modern, and clean. Our family enjoyed the breakfast buffet but be aware it's not included with your room price. It's a separate cost which was reasonable for the amount of food you can eat. This place also has a lot of pools and hot tubs in each building. You don't have to feel crowded sharing the pools with other people. Plenty of space. The staff was also friendly and attentive at check in

Overall, I was pleased with my stay. Rest and relaxation was my goal and it was achieved. A few minor irritations were the shower head is indeed too low, as some reviews had mentioned, and removing the carpet for new flooring looks great, but unfortunately I think the carpet helped to deaden the sound from the room above me. I do want to specify that I am a little particular, so these things might not bother other people. That's why I still gave this stay a high rating.
