Crema's Take
“Tucked away in Seattle, this cozy neighborhood gem draws a devoted crowd for its exceptional pastries—particularly those impossibly flaky, savory croissants—and unhurried mornings that feel like a slow escape from the city. The quiet, welcoming atmosphere makes it perfect for lingering over Turkish eggs and excellent bread, whether you're meeting a friend or settling in with your laptop, and regulars have clearly claimed it as their own gathering spot for everything from casual brunches to special pizza nights.”

Quiet cozy vibe. Turkish eggs and bread were excellent. Would definitely visit again.
Excellent spot to sate your brunch and baked cravings. The cheesy croissant was perfectly flaky and savory. Rarely do you get this level of perfection in a croissant. For this alone I'll be a repeat customer! The savory waffles were quite interesting with a medley of flavors including maple syrup! The fried egg and the cheddar jalapeno cornbread combo really go well together. The sandie was equally flavorful and decadent. My only complaint was the chai. It was made with a chai mix of sorts and it tasted like chai flavored milk instead of actual chai. But this is a Seattle thing. So they are excused! Edit: incredible curry tomato soup and frittata. Drip coffee needs some help 😀
My wife and I are so lucky to have Alexandra’s in our neighborhood. We’ve been regulars there for their pizza queen nights since we moved here in 2022. When the time came to start planning our wedding we were so excited that Alexandra’s could be the site for our rehearsal dinner. Alexandra was so sweet and accommodating, getting us squared away and helping us plan the menu! The dinner was lovely and we were so glad that our close family and friends got to experience a cafe we have been raving about for years. We would recommend Alexandra’s in general (highly recommend the kale salad and the special 'za), but we would definitely definitely recommend Alexandra’s for events and wedding-related festivities!
A wonderful spot with room for improvement. I love the location, and the cafe is cute and cozy. Amazing music the two days I went there. Sadly, the cappuccinos could be better. The second day I went my cappuccino wasn’t hot enough. The first day my frittata wasn’t warm enough, but it was delicious. The second day we waited 40 minutes for savory waffles. Delicious but almost cold when we got them, and way too expensive for one waffle, one egg and a bit of ricotta. I loved the sit down Saturday brunch service but they might be stretching themselves a bit thin.
Nut allergy warning: As always, macarons use almond flour, so avoid pastries. Review is primarily for their drinks. We came in at around 9AM on a Friday morning and there weren't that many people there. I ordered their matcha latte and my partner ordered the cold brew. Drinks were ready in less than five minutes. Cold Brew: 3/5. Had a slightly sour note, indicating that it might have been a little old or brewed slightly too long. I will say I liked it better than some other nearby options in terms of the flavor of the roast and not being diluted by ice. Matcha Latte: 4/5. Nice earthy flavor. I'd order this again. A friend came by later to look around and noted that there were a number of flies on the macarons, so I would examine those carefully before ordering any.
