Crema's Take

Nestled in Alachua's historic Williams/Leroy home, this tea house elevates the ritual of slowing down with meticulously crafted specialty drinks and an impressive spread of fresh pastries and light fare that keeps guests lingingly satisfied. The attention to detail shines through in both the exquisite high tea experience and the thoughtfully curated atmosphere, making it an ideal refuge for meaningful moments—whether you're meeting a friend or sharing quiet time with family over matcha or traditional brews. While most visitors rave about the welcoming service and unique charm of the intimate setting, it's worth noting that consistency with staff can vary, so you might want to plan your visit accordingly.

The tea and food were excellent, and the other servers were kind and welcoming. Unfortunately, one staff member was incredibly rude and passive-aggressive, and his comments made the experience uncomfortable and overshadowed what could have been a great visit. It’s disappointing because everything else was so good, but due to that interaction, I don’t plan on returning

I've learn that the best things in life are worth the wait , and I didn't realized I had been waiting for a place so unique, so original, as the this place. The attention to detail is absolutely exquisite. It was like the best of life's little things came together and now reside here. The decor is a timepiece of excellence. The preciseness in each piece makes you feel that each work of art was handcrafted with love and appreciation for what life has to offer . Julia's professionalism reflects her pure and kind heart making this place a treasure shining bright, and her presence make you feel valued, seen and heard. All in all, Life is too short to miss out on the best, and this was just that, the best.

Perfect atmosphere for my mom and I to stop by on our way to watch Pride and Prejudice return to theaters. We had high tea. The food was AMAZING and we were FULL by the end of it. I recommend getting a coffee and a tea because some sweets pair better with one or the other. I'm vegetarian so they gave me an extra egg sandwich instead of the meat on the tiered food display. Will definitely return with my husband!

I have enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere of Teatime, tranquility, and treasures several times. I loved visiting when it was located in the beautiful Victorian with lots of little rooms that afforded some level of privacy to the visiting groups. This most recent visit was to the new location further down the street, and I have to say that while it’s much much smaller total square footage, the tables are closer together and there’s no feelings of privacy when you can eavesdrop at the conversations over at the next table, the atmosphere is still lovely, because it is created by the lovely couple that runs this beautiful place. They take the time to come out and talk to their patrons and create memories of fun and specialness. Was this the best high tea I’ve ever had? Most likely not. But I’ve been to a lot of high teas including in London and Vienna, and I’m just happy that a small town of Alachua has such a lovely tearoom filled with treasures and good times to be had by all! A couple of suggestions for high tea: less celery and more chicken in the chicken salad sandwiches, and also actual loose leaf tea that guests can pour with the trainer from their teapot themselves so they can see it’s not teabags (like I’ve seen some people on here complain). Overall a lovely place run by a lovely couple! Wonderful time and highly recommend!

Great place for a relaxing tea or coffee. Nice bakery items. Some of the photos on here are of the old location down the street. This new location is excellent in the historic Williams/Leroy home. Very romantic and charming beautiful restored and decorated. The owner is an excellent host and really made our afternoon special. Thank you Lewis, will be back!
