Crema's Take

The owners—a warm Turkish family—make their baklava in-house, and it's the flaky, perfectly balanced kind that'll ruin you for grocery store versions. The coffee menu swings between creative drinks like their standout hazelnut mocha and solid traditional espresso drinks, all served in a small but genuinely cozy space with good music and zero pressure to leave. It's exactly the kind of neighborhood spot that makes you want to extend your stay in New York just to sit there a little longer.

What to expect

Specialty coffee, with creative signature drinks. A slow-sit, laptop-friendly spot, good for meetings. Full breakfast and pastries on the menu. Dog friendly. Family friendly. Parking available.

Very cute, small but several tables open. Great menu with lots of options - got a hazelnut mocha in a huge mug and it was wonderful! Friends got other fun or basic drinks and enjoyed them. Worth checking out!

Starstruck offers great coffee and pastries made by the friendliest Turkish family. Try the Baclava pastry, it's perfectly flakey, not too sweet, and oh so delicious. A perfect addition to 9th Avenue.
