Press Coffee - Scottsdale Waterfront
7135 E Camelback Rd #145, Scottsdale, AZ
Crema's Take
“Tucked along the Scottsdale Waterfront, this espresso-focused spot pulls serious shots that appeal to purists who appreciate bold, quality espresso—though they'll dial in gentler drinks too if strong isn't your style. The welcoming staff are generous with recommendations, and the good vibes paired with outdoor seating make it an ideal spot to settle in rather than just grab and go, whether you're exploring the area or seeking your next coffee obsession.”

I am writing this review because this experience reflects a serious lack of staff training and accountability, and I hope management will take it seriously. I visited Press Coffee with a friend and ordered a “bacon avocado toast & egg.” When my food was called, I specifically asked the staff member at pickup, “Is this mine?” She confirmed that it was, so we left the store. After walking around the mall and returning to the parking lot about 20 minutes later, I opened the box and realized it was not what I ordered. I walked all the way back to the store to let them know. Only then did the staff member go to the back and say they had an extra order and were about to “toss it”, and said, “If you want, you can have it.” The way this was said made it feel like a favor, not a correction of their mistake. I asked when the food was made. She said it was made when I ordered it, which was about 20 minutes earlier, and added again that they were getting ready to throw it away if I did not want it. As a paying customer, I do not understand why I should be expected to accept food that staff had already decided to discard. I declined. She offered a refund, which is the bare minimum. What was most frustrating is that this entire situation was caused by their error, I was given the wrong item, I spent an extra 20 minutes walking back and forth, and when I asked if they could remake my order, I was told no because the kitchen was closed. This is not just about a toast. It is about attitude, ownership, and basic customer service. A simple mistake could have been handled professionally with a remake and an apology. Instead, I was left feeling dismissed and undervalued as a customer. I hope management reviews this situation and provides better training so future customers are treated with more respect and care.
I liked my cafe Mocha but it is little too strong for my liking. But it is not bad. If you are a fan of strong espresso, I am sure you will like it here. Also, the vibe is good.
First time in Scottsdale, and I needed a coffee. The person serving me recommended a shaker which was very good. Thank you for the recommendation and delicious coffee.
We were here for our morning cup of coffee. In fact we decided to try out new cafés in Phoenix and not have coffee at the hotel where we were staying. Loved the coffee experience. Staff is courteous and service is quick, they don’t mind customisations to make you happy. They also have small food section contains some juices and salads.
Awesome coffee in a well located spot. Whenever I try a new place I always like to get an espresso or cappuccino and a red eye to see the quality. At Press I got a double espresso and a red eye. The espresso was delicious… great beans and well made coffee. The red eye was also good. Compact but nice location, efficient service. We sat outside and enjoyed the hub bub of people walking by.
