Allie Boy’s Bagelry & Luncheonette
135 E National Ave, Milwaukee, WI
Crema's Take
“Allie Boy's is a beloved Milwaukee institution where hand-rolled bagels with creative toppings (think zaatar, curried chicken, or pork roll with latke) steal the show, backed by a genuinely warm, mid-century modern atmosphere that keeps regulars coming back for decades. The operation moves quickly despite consistent crowds, though weekend visitors should order ahead—the quality of their breakfast sandwiches and house-made everything makes the occasional wait worth planning for. This is the kind of place where you'll find yourself rationing your baker's dozen because nothing quite compares once you leave town.”

Delicious and flavor filled options! Ranging from classics like a bagel with shmear to curried chicken salad. Very busy spot but still decently quick service. Atmosphere is welcoming and warm. Free infused water is available!
Been coming here since Allie has open, always great bagels and service. Today was an amazing breakfast sandwich of Pork roll, egg and cheese with a potato latke added on the bagel of the day Broccoli & Cheddar. I might have seen god.
ORDER ONLINE AHEAD OF TIME ON WEEKENDS. I understand why this place is so busy, their food is amazing! However, we waited outside in a line for about 20 minutes and waited another 20 for our 2 bagels. Highly worth it though!
I’m in town visiting and got an egg and cheese Zatar bagel. I’m pretty upset though. I can’t get bagels this good where I live and will have to ration my bakers dozen, which will NOT be easy. Will absolutely be back if I’m ever in Milwaukee again. The staff were incredible and the coffee was genuinely as good as the bagels.
Love, love, love. We were at the 135 East National Ave., Milwaukee, WI location. Great little place. I love the MCM wallpaper and subtle vibe. Plan your stop though as the lines can be way out the door. We both had a bacon, egg bagels with coffee so robust, it might knock your socks off! Now seriously, please try the Fried Orange Sugar Bagel with the smear. OMGOSH! What a great bagel and not too sweet. It was subtly sweet and the flavor was outstanding. Never had anything like it before. I also overheard a few customers talking about the Bubbe's Matzoh Ball Soup and how great it was. Will try next time. Next time? Why yes! We love this place and hope you do too.
