Crema's Take

This Jacksonville breakfast spot nails the cozy, welcoming vibe where you genuinely feel like family the moment you walk in—the staff's warm greetings set the tone for a real neighborhood experience. Their standout is the Chicken Fried Chicken breakfast sandwich, a crispy, juicy creation that begs to be dipped in gravy, though their classic Bacon, Egg & Cheese sandwiches are equally satisfying and prepared with impressive speed. Beyond breakfast, they've quietly built a solid menu of sandwiches and light fare that makes this a genuine all-day local gem worth stopping in for.

We finally decided to stop and see how this new breakfast place was. We didn't realized they also serve sandwiches and other food. Overall we enjoyed it.

I absolutely love this local gem. My aunt was visiting from out of town and we both were very pleased. The warm greeting from the restaurant staff set the tone for a very nice visit. The service was fast and efficient with attention to detail. The foooood was absolutely DELICIOUS! We ordered the Pork Chorizo Egg and Cheese and the Scramble Me Softly. Those two were accompanied by coffee and a blood orange juice. I had the Scramble Me Softly and baby when I tell you that I ate that sandwich in 2.2 seconds, yes, I did. The bread is what got me, however, the overall sandwich was tasty. My blood orange juice was Very good as well as thirst quenching. My aunt enjoyed the Pork Chorizo Egg and Cheese sandwich. Stating, “I don’t think I’ve ever had anything quite like this.” And she meant that in the most complimentary way. Everything was so good, I ordered a Chorizo Chili Hash for her to take and share with my Uncle. The only down side is that the place is tiny and seating is very tight. All in all, I will definitely be visiting this wonderful establishment again and again. Nothing but good vibes here!

Food: The Chicken Fried Chicken breakfast sandwich was the standout for me--crispy, juicy, and perfect when dipped in that gravy! The Bacon, Egg & Cheese was solid and satisfying. Environment: Cozy, clean, and inviting, though the dining area is on the smaller side. Service: It took a little longer since everything's cooked fresh, but it's worth the wait. Final Thoughts: EggBred delivers. I'll definitely be back to try more sandwiches--highly recommend!

EggBred Soft Opening Review - A Must-Try in Fruit Cove! I was lucky enough to stop by EggBred during their soft opening this week with a group of coworkers, and what an impressive start! Located right in the heart of Fruit Cove, the spot truly lives up to its promise of being a cozy, laid-back atmosphere. We enjoyed the fantastic Florida weather and ended up spending hours hanging out and chatting thanks to the plenty of outdoor seating—it was a perfect spot to start the workday. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which is always a huge plus. The food came out surprisingly fast, especially considering how busy they were. This isn't your average quick breakfast joint; the menu features gourmet-style sandwiches and burritos with unique twists. I ordered the Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Sandwich, and the addition of the spicy jalapeño ketchup took it to the next level—it was a little twist that made a huge difference! My coworkers loved their dishes as well; we even got a to-go box for the burritos because they were so hearty. Pro-Tip: If you order one of the chicken sandwiches, be patient, as they take a little longer to prepare, but they are absolutely huge and worth the wait! And for all the coffee lovers: the hot and iced coffee options were delicious. EggBred is bringing fresh, local flavors and a genuinely great community vibe to Fruit Cove. Their grand opening is this Saturday, and I highly recommend stopping by. Go experience the flavors that are sure to bring our community together! Highly recommend!
