Helm Coffee

The coffee is nice but it’s closed for a random reason seemingly once a month. Sometimes this is announced very last minute. They also changed their seating recently and removed most of their soft seating and it’s much less cozy in there now. I think if they only want to be a roaster that’s great, but they need to accept that.

Ordered three bags of coffee online and only received two. Customer service response is great. Since I'm here, I'll offer my opinion on their coffee (never been in store). I have fairly good equipment, but my results have been above reproach. Best roaster I've had, topping both James Hoffman's 'Square Mile' as well as some of the best in Chicago. That's not to say the others are bad, but Helm is doing something right that delights my taste buds.

I cannot recommend enough! The male barista working was so accommodating (wish I caught your name!). Everything we ordered was perfection. The quality is evident and the vibe was immaculate.

Wow what an experience! Real coffee shop experience. Pour over coffee was delicious, and the flavors changed as the coffee cooled. One of the best coffee flavors so far. Barista was cool guy from England.
