El Pueblito Restaurant

Crema's Take
“This casual Baltimore spot specializes in traditional Mexican comfort foods like birria and sopa de res, though consistency seems to be their biggest challenge—some folks rave about hot, perfectly-prepared dishes and friendly service, while others have felt let down by portion sizes and quality. If you're grabbing a quick lunch near Hopkins and want authentic flavors, it's worth a try, but you might want to call ahead or check your order carefully before leaving.”

Missing sides and overpriced!! We ordered two quesabirrias that automatically come with sides: onions, spicy red onions, cilantro, lime, jalapeños, and scallion. In addition to one of the sauces being poorly closed and spilling over in the delivery bag, both quesabirrias were missing ALL the sides. On top of that, we ordered a side of chips and queso for $7.34 and I wish I was lying when I say there were literally seven chips in the bag. In our opinion, NOT WORTH $40!! disappointing. Won’t be ordering from here again. I wish I could give zero stars.
I called in my order of sopa de res and it was delicious! the person at the counter was very nice. food was hot and ready when when i got there. i decided to sit in for a little bit and eat and the atmosphere was nice. the place is also clean. music wasn’t too loud or anything.
I spent $45 on my lunch today to be given what looks like SCRAPS. I’m very disappointed. I ordered guac and was given SALSA which was $10. And then ordered their birria ramen and was given dry chunks of meat on top of a bed of lazy and old vegetables and noodles. Mind you this is a $18 meal! I will never recommend this place. I usually am very patient but this was an outright slap in the face today. I added the ADVERTISED photo of the meal for reference.
Stopped by b4 a meeting at Hopkins. Worst carne asada I ever had. Looks like some old chinelas and barely edible. Birria ramen noodles were soggy and overcooked. Eggs were green. 🤢
Try it! I've been here twice so far. The first time I had the birria tacos ($16 or $17) with chips and queso (about$6). This time I had the burrito enchilado without meat ($14?) with a small side of guacamole ($3). Both times I visited, I really enjoyed my meals. I didn't give five stars because I did not enjoy the queso that much and I was REALLY looking forward to it. The chips were great though and not too salty! I loved everything other than the queso and my experiences here were great. I definitely recommended this place if you want some good food, and I'll be back for more.
