Crema's Take
“Emerald City Bagels makes legitimately good bagel sandwiches—the Suffolk with lox is a real draw, and the schmear selection (including vegan options) feels thoughtful—but the 3.8 rating reflects a consistent bottleneck problem: service slows to a crawl during peak times, turning a quick grab into a 45-minute ordeal. The bagels themselves get mixed reviews on texture (some find them slightly undersized or not chewy enough), and quality seems to depend heavily on when you visit. If you go off-peak and want a solid bagel sandwich with friendly staff and a NYC vibe, it's worth a stop; otherwise, expect frustration.”
What to expect
Classic coffee drinks done right. A slow-sit, quick-grab spot, good for meetings. Pastries and light food on the menu. Family friendly.

See all on Google →Really good bagel sandwiches. I try to finish long runs here to get the Suffolk (Lox sandwich). I wish the bagels were a tad bigger and chewier, but the sandwich selections are great and it’s a good vibe. Wish there were a little more seating. I’ll take these any day over the…
Was enjoying a walk on the beltline the other day and stopped in for a bagel and cup of coffee. Both were absolutely delicious and the staff was very kind and attentive. Also I really enjoyed all the seating options both inside and outside the restaurant. It’s imperative right…
Bagels are fabulous with loads of schmear, and the drinks hit the spot too! Tons of fun options, super friendly staff, and the vibe totally feels like a classic NYC bagel shop. Since it’s right on the Beltline, it gets busy—but the flow’s solid, so you can grab your goodies and…
I’ve been to two Emerald City Bagels locations and loved both! Their bagels are so filling, and the branding is so cute. Love their multiple vegan-friendly topping/schmear options as well! Totally recommend going for the experience.
We went at a terrible time it was very crowded and overwhelming, and something that should have been maybe a ten minute stop turned into a 45-minute one. But the coffee, seltzer and bagels were really good. I got a vietnamese cold brew and a pastrami on rosemary salted. There…
