Crema's Take

Nyla House is a Brooklyn spot that seamlessly blends serious coffee craftsmanship with a full breakfast and lunch program, drawing crowds for their standout egg sandwiches and smash burgers as much as their thoughtfully made drinks. The vibe is genuinely chill and social—they host evening events with DJs that transform the space into something beyond a typical café, making it equally good for a solo coffee session or lingering with friends. Reviewers keep coming back for the same beloved orders, which speaks to both the consistency of their food and the warm, welcoming atmosphere that keeps people rooted to this neighborhood gem.

I came across this place on my tiktok feed and decided to give it a try. Been looking for more good breakfast places in the city too! I don’t drink coffee often but today I went with an iced latte with cinnamon and vanilla 10/10, was freshly made and tasted beautiful. I got two sandwiches to try. The bacon egg and cheese and the steak egg and cheese. Both were really good. Gooey and cheesy whilst not skimping on anything. I got some tater tots on the side, those were nice and crispy. Gotta come back and see what the big smash is on.

I love this spot! I went recently after not having been in a few months and got the same thing: the egg sandwich with an added avocado. A small part of me thought how much I enjoyed it the first time might’ve been a fluke since I was very hungry, but no! The egg sandwich was just as addictive if not more. Not only that, but it was just as clean, the staff just as friendly and the general vibes were great. I can’t wait to visit again :)

I came here to pick up a Too Good to Go order. I walked in with a smile and said “hello” and was not greeted in return. I told the only person that was looking at me from behind the counter that I was picking up a Too Good to Go order. That person replied, “a what?” The cashier then chimed in and said “I do that over here”. Not sure why I wasn’t greeted back so I could know that as soon as I walked in. The cashier made it a point to let me know that I shouldn’t be swiping my phone to confirm the pick-up in the app and that the restaurant is supposed to. I thought that was odd because the thought of the staff in a restaurant touching my phone to swipe just doesn’t seem right. I informed her that I had been doing it this way since I started using the app to which she replied “well you’ve been doing it wrong”. The interaction was off putting and it made me change my mind about ordering something aside from my Too Good to Go order.

Very cute, chill spot. The burger and juicy bird sandwich were phenomenal and cooked to perfection. I visited on a Wednesday and they had a DJ and a special menu for the evening. I asked for a dry red wine and was recommended the Chianti, which was very nice. The glasses were also a cute touch. Very calm vibe. Would come back again to have a coffee and do some work away from home. **Also a very cute space to host an event. I've seen they had classes and other gatherings in the space.

I had the double smash burger and it was seasoned to perfection and the bun warm and toasted. Fire! I also came in on an early evening and there was a DJ curating the vibes and she welcomed me when I came in. It was great experience! I would definitely come back.
