Crema's Take
“This beloved Vietnamese spot serves up authentic street snacks and regional specialties like bánh tráng cuốn, phá lấu, and Saigon broken rice alongside surprisingly excellent fruit tea drinks and that signature salted coffee that keeps regulars coming back. The owner's expansion from their previous bubble tea shop means you get both meticulously crafted beverages and hearty, flavorful food in a welcoming space that works equally well for a quick grab or lingering afternoon with friends. It's the kind of place where nearly everything on the menu earns genuine enthusiasm from the community—crispy fried rice cakes, grilled pork skewers, fresh avocado smoothies—making it feel less like a casual strip mall stop and more like a little piece of Saigon transplanted into Seattle.”

The shop sells Vietnamese street snacks. The bánh tráng cuốn and bột chiên were delicious. However, the phá lấu had too much broth and tasted a bit bland. The salted coffee was amazing. The staff were extremely friendly. However, the place wasn’t very clean, and there were quite a lot of homeless people outside. Will come back.
Laka is my favorite spot for Vietnamese food and snacks whenever I visit Seattle! I’ve tried Bánh tráng cuốn/trộn, phá lấu, bột chiên, bánh mì and most of the dishes on the menu and so far, everything is amazing! It tastes exactly like how we have it on the street of Saigon. The front line is always kind and attentive! There’s a parking lot in front so I appreciate not to have to walk 2 blocks like most places in downtown!
Even though this shop is located in a strip mall surrounded by homeless people, if offers delicious Vietnamese street food and boba drink. I highly recommend Grilled Pork Skewers and Avocado Smoothie with boba. Also there are limited parking spaces in front.
I love the food in Laka Saigon like rolled rice paper, Saigon broken rice, fried rice cake, fish ball combo and so on. It’s really good!!😋😋😋
This place is great! The owner used to own Fresh Fruit Bubble Tea but moved next door to a larger space to add a food menu. The fruit tea drinks are our fave. The rice paper salad is really good. The weather was rainy today so I order the offal stew. So good! It comes with bread to soak up the broth. I recommend it! We didn't know what to expect when we ordered the fish cake banh mi, but it was good too!
