Pax & Beneficia Coffee - Fort Worth
101 W 5th St, Fort Worth, TX
Crema's Take
“Pax & Beneficia draws downtown Fort Worth coffee lovers with exceptional latte art and a warm, welcoming atmosphere that feels equally suited for a solo work session or a leisurely catch-up with friends. Beyond the skillfully crafted specialty drinks, this spot distinguishes itself through thoughtful touches like live piano music and creative house-made syrups that suggest real care goes into both the coffee and the overall experience. Just be aware that despite the inviting vibe and quality offerings, some visitors have noted occasional pest issues that the team seems to be actively managing.”

Dont get me wrong. I love the place. Great coffee. Great foam skills. Great food. Great atmosphere. I happen to think it is the best coffee downtown. BUT they have a serious fruit fly problem. I simply could not eat normally. I had kill flies all the time. I mean 9 or 10 easily. My advice to the owner: get rid of the flies.
I ran across pax and beneficia on instagram and bought a bag of their coffee and trinity syrup but haven’t tried them in person. I happened to be in town for work and was in a hotel right across the street. I got the trinity, breakfast Sammie and parfait and everything was delicious. The breakfast Sammie still had a nice crunch. The vibe was really cool to just sit and chill especially because all of the employees were super happy and jovial which was refreshing.
I don't like coffee, but got a vanilla caramel hot chocolate that was AMAZING. The hummus was good, but what REALLY made this place for my visit was the pianist. He played beautifully, he was kind, he played a variety of genres, and it brought so much life into the place. Cons: limited seating, parking. Menu didn't match Google but that's hardly the shop's fault
The staff were incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. However, as a Turkish person ordering a Turkish coffee, I come with *expectations*. I know the real deal when I taste it. This… was not it. That said, the presentation was absolutely stunning—honestly, if coffee were judged solely on vibes, this would’ve been a 10/10. Unfortunately, authenticity matters, and my ancestors were quietly disappointed.
This place has a really cute setup and vibe, and you’re able to work/study here if need be! The staff is friendly and will give you info on the items on the menu. I will say the coffee is quite tasty and isn’t too strong or bitter. The lattes are good and the only one I’ve had that wasn’t good was a seasonal banana flavored latte, which was disappointing. Their little pastries are good but are more on the expensive side. They do have indoor seating available but tables are limited. It’s a good coffee stop while strolling through Ft Worth proper!
