This beloved neighborhood gem has earned serious loyalty across multiple locations with their knockout breakfast burritos and expertly crafted cold brew that keeps regulars coming back for years. The space strikes that perfect balance between cozy and social—think comfortable booths and welcoming patios where you can linger over coffee, ace your laptop work, or catch up with friends without feeling rushed. A+ cold brew and A+ breakfast sandwich! Super cute interior and very friendly service. I’ve been meaning to try this place out for a while as it’s in my neighborhood and so glad I finally made it. This is my new favorite breakfast and brunch spot!!

Great little cafe! Liked the comfy booths indoors, but also has cute outdoor patio seating. Awesome addition to the neighborhood.

I love Highland Cafe’s first location on York, so I was excited to try their new spot on Verdugo. The space, and the staff, are warm, cheery, and welcoming. The menu has all your breakfast / brunch / lunch favs, and at a reasonable price. We got the breakfast burrito with fresh, homemade salsa & bacon, egg & cheese sandwich on brioche. Both were fantastic — the kind of food that makes you close your eyes and sigh. Cappuccino was fantastic! Really should have asked what they’re brewing because it was great. Could totally see myself making this a grab & go spot for coffee & sandwich on busy mornings. (Including a snap of my food & how well it was packaged for take out, because it really held up!) If you’re in the neighborhood and looking for a friendly & delicious local cafe, highly recommend checking this place out!

We couldn’t be more thrilled to have the iconic Highland Cafe, now in Glassell Park! Best breakfast burrito in town, and such a great community opportunity! If you haven’t been, highly recommend!

I've been going to the location on York for about 11 years, so was delighted to see that they opened a location near me! Their breakfast choices are unrivaled - lots of good LA-centric and Mexican items like chilaquiles and several different kinds of breakfast burritos. Also some vegan options as well. The coffee is always on point. I was able to get all the same things I normally order at the other location. Best of all, the staff are very genuine people and it's always enjoyable seeing them!
