Crema's Take

This roastery has passionate fans who rave about their strong, flavorful espresso drinks across multiple Florence Valley locations, though consistency issues with both beverages and service keep it from being a slam dunk. The pastry and breakfast programs show promise—fresh croissants and morning food draw crowds—but execution can be uneven, from stale baked goods to leaky lids that turn your cup into a hazard. If you catch them on a good day, the espresso-forward drinks and relaxed atmosphere make it worth seeking out, but it's worth ordering ahead or calling to confirm what's actually fresh.

While the coffee is good 50% of the time, you really should find somewhere else. The service is time and time again awful. They don't update their online menu so often times what you order will not be available. When you do order ahead you will likely have to wait an extra 15-20 minutes from your arrival time for a Luke warm latte because the staff is just chit chatting or they just "missed" your order come through. And then they'll be rude when you ask for them to remedy the situation. You are really better off going to small oven or tandem as the service will be much better, but thats a low bar.

I frequent the Easthampton and Hadley, Mass locations. I am a coffee addict and need it strong with flavor. The beverages do not disappoint. There is often a long wait for food, but the atmosphere is supportive of the under-caffeinated and morning after crowd. Easthampton needs to figure it out every weekend it is something, either no food, super long waits, no hot beverages, it is becoming too frequent to be called quirky and no longer part of the charm.

For 6+ mo the now the hot coffee lids have not fit any size cup and they leak profusely. But it has gotten to the point where no matter what you do they will not stay. And now it's an extreme burn hazard. Get it figured out.

I feel badly giving bad reviews to local coffee shops, but the lattes were just not good. The latte was weak, the espresso tasteless with no body or richness, the oatmilk watery (Planet Oatmilk, yuck), limited foam, and a generally "off" flavor. He sprinkled cinnamon on top, and even that tasted like it was old and carried off-flavors mixed with other spices. The barista was very nice and provided great service. The atmosphere was decent, cozy, and had that yummy coffee house smell. I threw out 2 expensive coffees! That's how bad they were. I can not recommend this place.

The drip coffee was pretty good, not too acidic. I ordered a coffee croissant and received a day old bun cut and slathered with thick dark chocolate ganache. Honestly it tasted stale. So decent coffee, not so sure about pastries.
