Crema's Take
“Metropolitan Cafe trades cutting-edge coffee trends for a timeless, old-school charm that makes you feel like you've stepped back in time, paired with genuinely friendly service that greets you with a smile. Their fresh, high-quality sandwiches (both signature and custom builds) are worth the price, and the flexible layout with both cozy indoor and outdoor seating makes it perfect for lingering with friends or catching up on work before their early opening or late closing hours.”

Came in with a group of friends while i was in seattle for my birthday; they talked this place up so i was excited to see what was up. We walked in, and stood there for 15 minutes without being acknowledged by the man at the counter even a single time. My friends and i walked around, picked some products up, waited patiently for him to come to the counter and assist us but he disappeared in the back and never came back out. Left for a pizza place that gave service that was LEAGUES better.
My first experience was terrible. I ordered a coffee with a shot of espresso, and it was literally too strong. My friend ordered another one, and she liked hers, but I didn't like mine. I asked if she could make me another one, and she said no, that coffee is coffee. Okay, fine. The second time, I bought some empanadas, but the girl's attitude was awful. I'm paying for my things, but she was so unpleasant. I asked for a plate just to put some hot sauce on, and first she said they were about to close, and then she finally gave it to me. I asked her how they make the hot chocolate, if it was from a mix or made there, and her answer was simply "chocolate." The pastries in the display case were super hard. The food might be good, but her terrible attitude makes me not want to buy anything there again.
Beautiful restaurant with old school vibe! The moment you walk in. you can feel the old school vibe, like being transported into history. Services are top notch, staff is very friendly and helpful. Obviously food is delicious and ambience is great. Everything we tried was top notch. Perfect place to celebrate any special occasion
I've had some of the best sandwiches here. While the prices are a bit high, the ingredients are incredibly fresh and of high quality. You can choose from their signature sandwiches or create your own. However, the veggie samosa was disappointing and didn't seem fresh, so I'd recommend avoiding it. The service is fast.
Just arrived in Seattle. Check in to the hotel and ready for lunch. Just around the corner from our hotel. Not crowded and greeted with a smile. Simple seating inside and out. Just ordered 1/2 sandwich and soup. Looks simple but both sandwiches were amazing. Would have liked a little more substance in the soup but well flavored. Easy choice and fast.
