Crema's Take

The French Guys brings genuine Parisian bakery energy to Seattle with impeccably crafted pastries and French-style baguettes that earned their reputation at farmers markets before landing this inviting brick-and-mortar space. The beautifully designed café feels like a destination in itself, complete with thoughtful food displays and comfortable seating that makes it equally perfect for lingering over a coffee date or grabbing something quick, though coffee quality can be inconsistent at this price point. Their hazelnut croissants and savory offerings like the chorizo sandwich are where they really shine, drawing regulars back for the whole experience of lovely surroundings and genuine French-inspired pastry craftsmanship.

I LOVE coffee, I love all things bread and I adore beautiful environments with beautifully displayed food and amazing choices. What is wonderful is the energy that it puts into you to come back and experience it again...and again, lol! The quality of the food, the flakiness of the crust and the crunch of the bread were exilerating!! I know it is just food but as a fellow foodie I bow down to their consumable exhibit. Enjoy!

Loved this little bakery! I really enjoyed the interior design they added and made for a perfect coffee date with my partner💖 we ordered the chorizo(something) and it was really good, a sandwich and pastries; raspberry croissant and blueberry tart, the jams tasted store bought, but presentation was beautiful.

Super excited to try out French Guys brick and mortar! Had them at a farmers market and the bread was also great! Sad to say, I was a bit disappointed in the raspberry croissant. Taste wise, the croissant is delicious with some raspberry jam in the middle. Texture is where it lost some stars. It feels bad, because you can tell the bakers went into a lot of effort to achieve the layers and flake but I think there is some improper storing of the croissant after it’s been baked or something, because the bread had moisture. It just didn’t have the crispy flake and crumble you would expect for a nice croissant! Another note for service, it’s inconsistent. I wasn’t asked if it was dine in or to go, so I was confused when I was handed my croissant in a brown paper bag at the register. No matter, I simply asked for a plate as I was there to eat brunch with my friend. Funny her pastries were on plate, and mine was in a bag. I also only found out about the option of getting the pastry warmed up because she told me they warmed up hers. Maybe a miss on service, but I think if the croissant was warmed up it would have helped the texture.

The Cafe is really nice and comfortable, and has ample seating. The latte I ordered was just okay and barely hot. Considering a latte is $6-7 without any modifications (milk substitutes or syrups), I was expecting more. The pastries are also just okay. The almond croissant I had wasn't what I expected, it was kind of soft... Like a second day croissant. It wasn't terrible but I wouldn't order it again.

I love this place. The pastries were delicious, I highly recommend the Hazelnut Croissant, it is filled with Hazelnut and the smell is amazing. The Baguettes are made using the French style, and I guess a bit of sourdough since the flavor reminded me ofntheir excellent Sourdough Rustic bread. I also recommend their Lemonade, it wasn't too sweet and I felt it was natural and fresh. Their Sandwiches felt fresh and delicious. There is a seating are on the second floor with old French style, it was very quite and comfortable to sit and work there, plus the view from the second floor into the bakery is nice. The owner and manager is a super nice guy as well, which is always a bonus.
