Raxakoul Coffee and Cheese Market

Crema's Take

This beloved Kensington gem is as much a curated marketplace as it is a coffee destination, where the owner personally tastes everything to match you with exceptional Dubai chocolates, loose-leaf teas, and artisanal cheeses that reflect genuine care for craft. Beyond espresso drinks and matcha, you'll find yourself lingering over Dutch honey drops, NY cheesecake, and an impressive selection of imported meats and specialty items that make it feel like discovering a family-run European deli in the East Bay. The thoughtful details—from slow coffee service to their unapologetic pricing philosophy—signal a shop that knows exactly what it values and isn't compromising for convenience.

The owner is a lovely woman who tastes everything in her store to recommend the best Dubai chocolates and teas and cheeses for your tastes, which I found touching. We loved finding Dutch honey drops here and porcini mushrooms, and HIGHLY recommend getting a cortado at the coffee bar.

Recently stopped by Raxakoul, Kensington location, and delighted to find that there is so much more than coffee and cheese; meats, cakes (delicious N.Y. cheesecake), breads, small canned items. Marie is friendly and helpful. She will deliver when asked. Certainly, worth exploring.

Family run store with a little bit of everything like a deli. Great selection of loose leaf teas, which I find is getting harder to find in the East Bay!

I'm visiting the area and thought it would be fun to buy some local cheeses, meats, and pastries. I was waiting in line and saw this sign- 1$ extra for no ice? I've never heard of something like this. When did it cost extra to buy an undiluted drink? I don't want to have to pay extra for a 5$ drink to *not* to be watered down. It's so exploitive. I returned the items I was going to buy and left.
