As regular coffee enjoyers this place rocks. The entire team is obviously curated in a way that creates a cozy community that the Mandarin area needs. There is a broad range of beverage options with anything ranging from juicy co-ferments to specialty crafted lattes on the sweeter end (in a good way for sweet enjoyers!). The space is kept incredibly neat, clean, and bright to create an environment where everyone who walks through the door feels welcome. This is the kind of space you walk into and say “yeah… I could be a regular here :)” As someone who has been here at least more times than I can count on my 10 fingers and literally wrote wedding vows sitting in here, Tetherball would be considered a must-visit Jax spot!
I’ve been coming here for a few years now, and I honestly can’t believe I’ve never written a review because this place deserves one. From the very beginning, the coffee has been incredible, consistently some of the best I’ve had. But what truly sets this shop apart is the people. The customer service isn’t just good it’s intentional, warm, and deeply personal. They go above and beyond in ways that still shock me. One time, they literally recreated my wedding photo in my drink. I mean… are you kidding me??? I have never felt so special at a coffee shop in my life. It’s that level of care and attention that keeps me coming back. Shoutout to Beeta, Sebastian, Bailey (best barista in Jax 2025, by the way), and I’m so sorry I’m blanking on one of the baristas names but I never have time to come when she’s working BUT every single one of you makes this place what it is. And Eli your knowledge and years of experience are so evident. I have so much respect for the craft and passion you bring. Also they even send out Christmas cards!!! Who does that anymore? It just shows how much they value their community. This shop is a much needed third space. Somewhere you can exist, connect, work, or just breathe. If you’re looking for phenomenal coffee and a place that genuinely cares about its people, this is it. So grateful this spot exists.
It was my first visit yesterday everything was clearly labeled. They were well staffed and they had good vibes, very helpful and quick. I LOVED the house made syrup. It was a great latte. Toffee Latte Muffin Edit: Back again, the honey teddy graham latte was amazing. Great if you like light roast vibes
I have been enjoying coffee from Tetherball since they opened. Err how have I not left a review till now!?! I will not say I have a lot of knowledge about coffee but, my palate speaks the language. I have not once enjoyed a coffee as much as I have from tetherball. From their very educated knowledge and selective taste in roasting quality and location, to the absolute brilliance in their handmade and local ingredients and creativity in curating their drinks. Their seasonal selection may be “small” in some reviews, but its packs a wonderful punch of options. Between fresh handmade bread loaves, baked pastries, chia pudding and most recently empanadas, you cannot go wrong when choosing a small bite to go with your drink. After reading some reviews on atmosphere and customer service , I have a lot to say. Firstly, Elias and his baristas are absolutely wonderful. Beeta always welcomes me with a wave or a big smile . Her personality is bubbly and infectious in the most positive way. Bailey is well, Bailey. A girls girl, a let’s talk about the newest book we’re reading girl, a girl who is invested in your story no matter who you are. Sebastian is that unsuspecting artist and gentle in spirit. Amanda is quirky, funny, enjoys sarcastic humor. I enjoy the quick whit and banter with her. Last but certainly not least the owner Elias, as a younger owner to a quick growing business he is calm, intentional and to the point. Enjoys short conversation but never dismissive. Don’t let his quiet nature fool you, his brain is always gong! As a business owner myself, I know these things. The coffee shop can get a bit hectic and crowded but I attribute that to good coffee and good staff. They make the most out of their space , which is always welcoming. On the welcoming note, I did read some reviews about the flag they now have hanging. I will be the first one to say I love Jesus and boldly talk about my faith and daily walk with the Lord. The staff there knows this to be true. You can let a flag ruffle your feathers and keep you from community or you can choose to acknowledge it and walk out your faith regardless of others beliefs or choices. I have seen many customers holding a small Bible study or self study, including myself. With that, I nor my Bible have ever been unwelcome. Don’t let a flag keep you from loving people and … coffee. 🥰 If you give it a chance, Tetherball can feel like family. They have built a smorgasbord of community and offer something for everyone.
Stumbled across Tetherball Coffee after Pilates and it was the perfect pick-me-up! This location is currently participating in Jacksonville CoffeeCrawl promo (where you get $5 toward a drink to support local coffee spots), but I missed it—definitely something to keep an eye on via Unation Stuff to Do in Jacksonville! Ended up trying the Pumpkin Spice Matcha Latte, and it was delicious—total fall vibes, even in this October Florida weather. The staff was super friendly and even brought my drink to me while I was juggling my laptop and a phone call, which was such a kind touch. The space is clean, colorful, aesthetic, and just full of happy energy! I can’t wait to go back and try more from the menu!
