Lokal Coffee & Co.
103 Miln St, Elizabeth, NJ
Crema's Take
“Lokal Coffee & Co. is a genuinely laid-back neighborhood spot in Elizabeth where the Central American-inspired design and thoughtful details (like those adorable pineapple-shaped iced coffee glasses) create a cozy, inviting vibe that feels both vibrant and chill. Their cappuccinos are seriously good, and the brunch menu—especially the sandwiches—pairs perfectly with their cold brew, making it an equally great choice whether you're settling in with a laptop or gathering with family and friends across their comfortable, well-designed seating areas.”

This local coffee shop is super vibey and I like their food menu for brunch. I love their cappuccino, and the sandwich is so good. It has a Central American-themed vibe and is really cozy and chill. It’s super spacious, so it’s a great spot to hang out, relax, and do my thing.
Stopped in today for the first time and was immediately drawn in by the immensely chill and laid back atmosphere. Plenty of seating whether you're a couple or large party, with additional in the rear. You can also rent the space out for events. We enjoyed a bacon egg and cheese sandwich with home fries and a cold brew. Home fries were amazing btw ❤️ Lokal is definitely worth stopping into. Great vibes, food and coffee. Doesn't have the variety of coffee Track 5 has but beats them on food and it's nice to not wait in a long line. Take the trip, stay Lokal ✌️🌊🤙
Went with his and for a quick breakfast and coffee. Friendly staff, quick service and nice atmosphere with large bright front dining area. There is also a more secluded seating in the back. We ordered the plain waffles, grilled cheese and a cappuccino. Grilled cheese was ok. The waffles were overly crispy on the outside and rubbery and chewy on the inside. I thought it may have been a bad batch but having read other reviews since, it seems to be the norm. I'm surprised that they haven't changed the recipe and cooking process after a few notable reviews. The cappuccino is really weak, almost as if they made it with regular coffee instead of espresso. Disappointing since it would have been nice to have an alternative coffee option since Track 5 can get really crowded.
Nice place :) I love their pretty interior design. Very cute and chairs and cup stand. The glass for iced coffee is cute, too.(pineapple shape :D) Many people enjoyed their time with kids. My friend and I order iced coffee (so we don't know about their food) which is not too special but not bad. I think their closing time is too early. I hope they can have later closing time.
Tuesday lunch time wait was not ridiculous We received our drinks under 10 minutes and had our food within 15 min. It’s not a fast food joint / chain so I don’t expect my meal within 5 minutes. The bathrooms are clean, plenty of space to accommodate people and family friendly environment. The food and coffee was good, no complaints. Will definitely recommend and come back for more.
