Angie's Food and Diner
7 Pleasant St, Newburyport, MA
Crema's Take
“Angie's draws a loyal crowd for its consistently excellent hand-cut fries and genuinely warm service that makes you feel like a regular on your first visit. The coffee is solid and the breakfast portions are generous, though the kitchen's execution can be inconsistent—some days the pancakes are fluffy and perfect, other days the eggs disappoint. It's the kind of unpretentious diner that's perfect for a relaxed morning before an outdoor adventure, as long as you manage expectations about food quality.”
What to expect
Classic coffee drinks done right. A slow-sit spot, good for meetings. Full breakfast and light food on the menu. Family friendly.

The staff are always welcoming and very helpful. But the quality of the food isn't great. My home fries were cold and under cooked. The sausage tasted like it was spoiled. The omelet was ok and the pancakes were underwhelming. Really sad because my family likes stopping in when…
Nice selection of food on menu. Reasonable prices. Only a few tables were filled but it took awhile for the waitress to come over. Forget about coffee refills, at least I never received any.
Large selection of breakfast foods + super great service. Fluffy pancakes!
The Shamrock was an excellent choice. BUT the fries are right up there with the best i’ve ever had.
Stopped by Angie’s before heading to Maudslay for a trail walk. the vibe was relaxed, the service kind, and the coffee just 🤌. Perfect start to a peaceful morning. Will definitely be back next time I’m in town.
