Crema's Take
“Tucked into Louisville's creative West End, this spacious industrial venue doubles as a vibrant art-filled gathering spot where you can linger over carefully crafted coffee or cocktails surrounded by exposed brick and local artwork. The generous outdoor seating makes it perfect for unhurried conversations or working alongside other creative types, and the welcoming owners and staff help explain why it's equally beloved as a coffee destination and an event space.”

I like this venue. Spacious with lots of art. A good outdoor area to hang out between bands. Good beer and cocktail selections at reasonable prices. The only issues were the bathrooms. Though covered with great artwork, the ladies room was really dark inside the stalls and the doors to the stalls were challenging to figure out, some of them wouldn’t lock. A bunch of the toilets were clogged and out of toilet paper. My partner also said the men’s room was trashed and really gross.
EDIT: It has been 19 weeks and still no receipt or refund! Stay away from this place. I had my wedding reception here in October. The space is wonderful! Everything went so smoothly, and my husband I had a great time. The staff was great on the day of... but not so much any other time. We were given a contact to text any questions, send wedding day info to, etc. She didn't reply for months. I called 1512 a month before my event to touch base because NO ONE had reached out to me or my husband. We were informed that we got assigned a new event manager. We also paid for a bar package through 1512. We have been waiting on a refund from the bar for almost 7 weeks... The bar manager silenced my text messages. We have called 1512 and always get no answer or get told something will be figured out and never get a call back. The space is great! But the management is not. It has been almost 7 weeks, and we are still waiting on $500-600.
fifteenTWELVE is a "creative compound" in Louisville's West End/Portland area. People who love art should drop by and see what's there. For me, one impressive business there is Rockerbuilt -- a multidisciplinary workshop specializing in metal fabrication and woodwork. The "compound" also has community events, live performances, workshops, etc. It's less than 10 minutes from downtown Louisville and worth checking out IMHO. It's a hidden treasure that most locals don't even know about.
This is a beautiful place to have a wedding reception! The exposed brick made a really nice backdrop. Emily is great to work with, providing so much help, making adjustments as we needed. Honestly, this was also an excellent value as well.
A great space for events of all kind! The spacious and industrial aesthetic makes for a great blank canvas to bring your event to life. Added bonus that the owners of the compound are AMAZING and a joy to work with! I highly recommend!
