Pura Vida Shaved Ice and Espresso Bar

The owner (the older lady that’s always there) is super rude and money hungry. Ever since she’s been there running the place there’s no one hardly there. There always used to be a long line in the drive thru but everytime I drive by it’s empty. She crossed off/removed all the prices off the board in the drive thru menu so she can charge whatever she wants and UP charges/overcharges you for every little thing. You’re serving shaved ice lady not fancy gelato lol chill out on the prices! I ended up paying $24 for two CHILD SIZE cups and added regular amount of sweet cream to only one. $24!? And had to deal with her nasty condescending attitude when I asked how much it was to add the sweet cream. She doesn’t give you a price when ordering or is hesitant and then hits you with a grand total which is an arm and a leg! See for yourself how there’s literally no one ever there, plus she wouldn’t honor my stamp card for a free cup which had ALL the stamps full and said I had to purchase one more LARGE to get a free one next time. Ummm what? I had to look twice to make sure, and it sure was full. So I just ordered my kids cups and won’t be returning. This isn’t the first time, she’s always super rude and fake. It’s unfortunate since I really liked this place, but your better off getting a shaved ice machine and the same syrups off Amazon. Wayy better and don’t have to deal with someone’s nasty attitude.

Shoutout to Kiana for the best service tonight and helping us out. Her personality should be awarded for how well she is with guests. She had multiple orders and got everything done so fast. Our favorite shaved ice in the Central Valley and even better when the service matches. 10/10 service and 10/10 flavor

Pura Vida is a gem! The staff is wonderful, the owner is lovely, and the shaved ice is simply amazing. I discovered this place a couple of months ago and have been returning almost every weekend. The Dreamicle shaved ice, combined with ice cream and condensed milk, is an absolute heavenly experience!

See the photo it says open. It’s 745 on a Friday night, the listing says close at 9 and they closed it. No courtesy. Used to be a great place but lately we’ve been coming here an hour and a half if we’re the closing time and they close and lock everything down and they don’t have any reasoning for it either and they don’t update their Google maps listing this is unacceptable for a business. I think they’re gonna go out of business soon.

One of my shaved ice didn't have much syrup. I think they were training a girl, so not gonna go too low. Kettle corn is very tasty. Gonna try a smoothie next time
